Hi all,

I have a quick question I received my receipt form I-797 on October the 7th. My question is, would this be my NOA1? Should I now be waiting for NOA2? I'm a little confused so any help would be greatly appreciated.

Was that your first one? If that was your first one...it would be NOA1. Look at the section "NOTICE TYPE"...does it say Receipt Notice? The second one should be NOA2...this is the one you want to look for...it should say in the "NOTICE TYPE" section..."Approved Notice". If that was your first one...you have quite a way to go. Thank you so much guys for your help I guess I do have NOA1/receipt notice....I was a bit confused. So I guess NOA2 is what I'm waiting on. This whole process sucks by the way.

Yeah, the waiting sucks. But at least we're all here waiting together. Kinda like a party. I brought the popcorn :pop: Did anyone remember the drinks - I'm almost out and I'm thirsty :P

11/15/2007 = Package sent overnight Fedex to CSC

11/16/2007 = Package arrived at CSC

11/21/2007 = NOA1 (according to www.uscis.gov online case status)

11/26/2007 = Check cashed (YIPPEE!!!!!!!!!!)

11/28/2007 = Touched

11/30/2007 = Rec'd NOA1 hard copy in the mail

12/20/2007 = Touched

12/21/2007 = Touched

03/12/2008 = Touched (due to phone call)

03/24/2008 = NOA2!!!!!!!!!

03/25/2008 = Touched

04/23/2008 = Touched

05/05/2008 = Arrived at Consulate

05/12/2008 = Picked up Packets 3 & 4

06/24/2008 = Interview Date and APPROVAL

07/02/2008 = Picked up Visa at Embassy

07/05/2008 = Arrival in the U.S.!!!!!!!!! Met at POE in ATLANTA

07/06/2008 = Fly back to Salt Lake City Together!!!!

08/06/2008 = MARRIED TODAY!!!

AOS & EAD

08/23/2008 = Package sent via USPS with Signature Confirmation

08/25/2008 = Package arrived in Chicago

08/26/2008 = Check cashed

09/02/2008 = NOA1 for EAD and AOS received in the mail.

Consulate Received : 2007-11-09

Packet 3 Received : 2007-11-17

Packet 3 Sent : 2007-11-23

Medical Taken : 2008-01-03

Medical Passed : 2008-01-04

Interview Date : 2008-01-11

Interview Passed : 2008-01-11

Visa Issue : January 18th 2008

USA ENTRY : January 23rd 2008

POE Entry : Seattle Washington

AOS:touched :Card ordered July 26th

Approval: AOS : Aug 4th

Green Card :Received : Aug 5th with Welcome Letter . 2 years Dated July 26th
