HELLO EVERYONE...

I HAVE A K-3 Visa I'm trying to get my ssn , I tried searching and it says that I should file for EAD from the USCIS.

Can anyone define or tell me what is EAD stands for?

Employment Authorization Document.

K-3 can apply for EAD for $340 and later apply for AOS closer to 2nd wedding anniversary to avoid the conditional green-card, or can apply for it with or after AOS, fee for EAD is part of AOS.

No idea if it matters from state to state but here in NC

you have to have at least P2 for 1-130 to get your SSN

card..We just went through this a month ago, spent more

green backs to be told so sorry you can't right now

card..We just went through this a month ago, spent more

green backs to be told so sorry you can't right now

NOA 2 letter for I-130 is not evidence that a person is work authorized. SSA needs proof that a person is authorized to work, EAD, Green-card, K-1 with valid I-94 card are work authorized. K-3 needs to wait until they are work authorized (EAD Card or approved AOS (Green-Card)) before they can apply for SSN.

shortly. EAD stands for Employment Authorization Document (I-765).

this is an old post from 2007, always check the dates before replying
