Cheap and good hotels near the Consulate? |
Hotel Farid. Within walking distance of the embassy. Not bad price-wise for downtown Dakar, but I wouldn't stay there for more than one or two nights if you're on a real budget (it's about $60 for a two person room). |
Additional Info? |
The petitioner should make every possible effort to be present at the interview. I was not with my husband and the interview went smoothly so do what is economically feasible for you. Previous members stated that they didn't need photos, but photos were the key to getting my husband's visa. They apparently barely glanced at my phone records, and other evidence though. But please keep in mind that each circumstance is different so bring as much evidence as possible because it is better to be over prepared than under (especially when you are sooo close to the finish line). The embassy policies are ever evolving so make sure you stay ahead.
***Be prepared to pay $165 after the interview. It is a fine print processing fee that MUST be paid AFTER the interview and BEFORE your spouse can leave the country. Your spouse will get a letter with the site you can electronically pay the fee following the interview.**** |
