24-48 hours (They will give you a ticket with the day and time you can pick up your visa) I believe they only issue fiance/spousal visas on Tuesdays and Thursdays. They tell everyone to come at 2:00, so get there early or you may not get your visa the day you had scheduled. |

Hotel Farid. Within walking distance of the embassy. Not bad price-wise for downtown Dakar, but I wouldn't stay there for more than one or two nights if you're on a real budget (it's about $60 for a two person room). |

The petitioner should make every possible effort to be present at the interview. Our interview went very smoothly, but I believe it was because I was with my fiance. Bring pictures with you. |
