The Immigrant Visa Unit (IV) of the U.S. Embassy in Bucharest is available for inquiries from the public by phone (see number above) Monday through Friday from 8:00 A.M to 12:00 PM.
American citizens can visit ACS (the American Citizens Services Unit in the Consulate) Monday through Thursday, 9:00 - 11:00 AM and 1:00 - 3:00 PM; and Fridays, 9:00 - 11:00 AM; and inquire via telephone (see number above) Monday through Friday, 8:00 to 11:30 AM and 1:00 - 5:00 PM.

Step one: Complete the DS-160 online form and then *e-mail* the confirmation page to the Embassy together with a copy of the Passport containing the biographical information.
You will then be able to schedule your interview via e-mail pr phone

Then, obtain all the documents that are stated in the instructions, according to each particular case) - Passport (valid for six months after visa is issued; Police record; Birth certificate (original and copy); Photos; divorce papers (originals), proof of relationship etc)

The visa is usually issued and mailed via TNT the next couple of days to the visa recipient. You can also chose to pick up the visa the same day it is issued by the embassy from TNTExpress Otopeni.

They vary according to the age and health condition of the applicant. Therefore, they should be discussed with the family doctor and with the U.S. Embassy-accredited one. |

The security will be able to store your phone: they give you a card and before leaving they will return your phone. Ladies are allowed with purses, but not men. Only have the minimum with you: phone, keys, wallet and documents for the visa. |
