Cost of Medical Exam? |
Wellington
Approx $225 for medical, $90 for X-Ray and there are a number of vacciantions needed depending on age. The price ranges from $40-$80.
blood tests which cost $92
A community services card doesn't help (at least in Wellington)
Auckland
If you live in Auckland i highly recommend Dr Stone, at the time of my medical it was 185 for the medical 80 for the X-ray and 31 for bloodwork, i did need a booster shot for tetnus but wasn't charged anymore for this. One thing to note is that the x rays and blood works are not carried out on site and are actually 1.5 km further down the road, parking for the practise can be found behind it at the supermarket car park. allow 2-3 hours for the whole medical process so book for a morning/early afternoon appointment so you can get it done in one day. (KimandRuss)
*medical rate depends on the doctors providing the service and vary from about $300-500

Alot of the vaccinations are Age Dependant and if you grew up in new zealand you would have alot of these already, the doctor can advise you on which you require, get a copy of the vaccination sheet from your doctor (stamped and signed) as you will require it for AOS. If you can get an account of the vaccinations you already have from your GP then take these along as well but are not essential. |
