Approx Waiting Time for Interview After Consulate Recieves

After NVC contacts embassy, embassy will email petioner or beneficiary with instructions. For K-1 instructions are to file DS-160, gather documents including police certs, proof of relationship, proof of financial support, an embassy specific form that requires information about beneficiary’s family, and the medical examination results. After the medical examination results are in, one emails the embassy with a copy of DS-160 confirmation to get interview. Embassy says interview dates are 8 days from request. Documents are brought with interview.
