The consular office will E-Mail the entire packet, which will contain the following instructions and an appointment letter stating the date of the interview.
On the day of the interview, your fiancée (and any dependent children) will be asked to present:
1. Two forms DS-156
2. Form DS-156K.
3. Form DS-230, Part I
4. $350.00 non-refundable visa fee.
5. Passport that is valid for at least 12 months since the interview date and a copy of the page with a photo
6. Original birth certificate and a notarized translation of the certificate
7. (IF APPLICABLE) Proof of termination of any prior marriages of both petitioner and beneficiary, as well as evidence of any name changes
8. A police certificate from the current place of residence of the beneficiary, as well as from any prior place of residence for six months or more since age 16.
9. Military records for males over 18
10. Medical exam results that must be conducted by the Embassy’s panel physician (International SOS Clinic). More information on how to schedule an appointment with the International SOS Clinic is included in the Interview Appointment and Instruction Package.
11. Proof of relationship between the petitioner and beneficiary (this could include copies of correspondence, plane tickets, photographs, etc.)
12. Three photographs
- 5cmx5cm
- color photos with white background.
- the applicant must face the camera directly (forehead and both ears should be exposed);
- made within 6 months
- no accessories (eye glasses, hats, etc.)
- ONE PHOTO MUST BE IN AN ENVELOPE WITH A FULL NAME IN THE BACK
13. Proof of petitioner’s financial resources to ensure that his/her fiancée and dependent children will not become public charges in the U. S. The consular officer will ask to see
- Form-134 Affidavit of Support
- latest W-2’s (would help to bring 6-months paystubs, and a letter from the petitioner’s employer stating salary).
- copies of the petitioner’s tax returns (Form 1040) for the previous three years (if an interview is scheduled after April 15, include the most recent filed Tax return).
Note: Original documents, not the copies, must be brought to the interview. Originals of primary documents, such as birth, marriage, and death records, are returned to the applicant after the interview.

If the consular officer is able to approve your fiancée's application, the visa will usually be available the NEXT business day after the interview day.
If your fiancée is not issued a visa, because, for example, a document is missing, he or she is given notification in writing at the time of the interview. Please review this notification before contacting the Embassy with questions about the case.

The basic examination fee for each applicant 15 years of age and older is $100, and $75 for applicants under the age of 15 (however if a chest x-ray is required then the fee will be $100).
If additional tests are needed, the following fees will be charged: Serologic Test for Syphilis: $2
