What other documents are needed for the interview:

Police Certificate (To obtain a Police Certificate in the UK, go to your local police station and request a form called "Subject Access". Send send this with the ten pounds fee to the Data Protection Officer of the police force for the area you are resident in. This form is then sent by the police to Scotland Yard and the results are supplied to the individual requesting them within a statutory 40 day time limit. If you're waiting for your certificate try 0171-230-3751 to see what state it's at.)

Does Embassy schedule interview day or is it walk-in:

Schedules interview - A new appointment system is being introduced on April 1, 2005. Under the new system appointments will be scheduled between 9:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. You should allow approximately two hours for the visa interview.

Visa issued same day:

No, applicants applying for visas will have their issued visa and passport returned to them by courier. There is no alternative method.

You have to buy the Special Mail Services (SMS) courier envelope (and give them your address) at a cost of £9.50. Only applicants who are found eligible to receive a visa will purchase SMS courier delivery before they depart the Embassy.

If not whats the waiting period:

You have to buy the envelope (and give them your address) at a cost of 10 pounds (the desk is to the left of the reception and you need to buy your envelope before you go into the interview rooms) - it is then sent to you by courier within 24 hours. Mine was delivered the next day at 1.30pm

Is the Medical exam same day as interview:

No, and please note that there is approximately a two week wait for medical appointment. The medical results will be provided to the applicant within 48 hours of the examinaton. These factors must be taken into consideration when scheduling the appointment for the medical examination.

Cost of Medical Exam:

After April 1, 2005, £179 The fee will be paid in sterling by credit card at the time of scheduling the appointment.
