No problems! My husband's interview went well and he said that everyone was very kind. The only thing is that you can't take your bag inside, as others mentioned. The best way to solve this is to leave your bag at your hotel (if you're coming from out of town). He stayed at the EasyHotel because it is affordable and they have lockers where you can leave your bag, and you can pay for them with your bank card if you don't have cash.
The first visit was a medical appointment and document review. You first go to the medical appointment, then get a chest x-ray at another location, and finally, go to the embassy at the time allotted (they tell you in a text message a couple of days before the medical appointment). They put everything they want you to bring in an envelope that you shouldn't open until the interview. In our case, it was just his birth certificate. They also tell you if you need to provide any additional documents, but we didn't.

Overall, an alright experience. My main hiccup was when I went to the embassy for my document review. Security would not let me enter with my small backpack, refused point blank. Someone else arrived to have their documents checked at the same time as me and they only had a canvas bag with their documents in it. The security team wouldn’t even let them use the canvas bag and make them take their documents out. I was very stressed and ended up quite upset, and they didn’t seem to care at all. I ended up having to leave my backpack at the newspaper stand across the street. The odd thing was, when I went back for my interview, everyone had their bags and backpacks inside. So I honestly don’t know, its very conflicting, but I wouldn’t risk it if you can avoid it. They were also very strict about the photo, and made me retake it on their machine there - I wouldn’t bother taking one in advance! Otherwise, the interviewee was very friendly and the interview portion was over in less ... read complete review

It was a very fast process and the consular officer was really nice. He asked me the following questions:
Who's your fiancé?
Where did you guys meet?
How many times have you seen each other?
What does she do for work?
When was the last time you saw her?

I got scheduled for the interview at 9:30. My husband had to wait outside the Embassy since he was not listed on the Immigrant Visa Interview Appointment letter. They had 4 panes opened for immigration visas, two for document review and two consular officers interviewing people; plus 2 more for American consular issues. I got called twice: Once to verify two documents they put inside an envelope on the day I went for the document review (my original marriage and birth certificates). The second time, they called me for the actual interview. The officer was a bit serious and reserved at the beginning, but she was a little bit more friendly by the end. I got asked the following questions:
- When are where did we meet first time?
- How long have we been dating?
- When was the last time we've seen each other?
- How do we usually keep in touch?
- What does my husband do for a living in the US?
- Have you lived anywhere other than my home country? ... read complete review

The interview phase of the K-1 was a very fast process (less than 2 minutes), despite a relatively long two hour wait. Both the beneficiary and petitioner were present, but the consular office only asked to speak to the beneficiary.
Question asked:
1. Where/how did you meet?
2. Where do you plan to live in the U.S.?
3. What is your fiancés mother’s name?
4. Where does your fiancé currently live?
We were given the approval document immediately afterwards, with passport being shipped back with the visa in a few days.
