Id send one anyway, but we got approved without a letter of intent from me (UK Fiancee).

We were unaware of this site, when we initially filed, so just included a letter of Intent from my fiance (USC) and statements from 2 people who know us, regarding our relationship.

This is what my fiance was told by USCIS, prior to filing.

Though, it seems info changes, depending on who you get through rto.

We were approved without a RFE, but Id send one anyway, to be on the safe side.

It's required by both. I wouldn't risk for just the petitioner to submit one.

Sorry this kind of makes me laugh.

It isn't like it's a hard thing to do or takes days and days to gather paperwork for...

It would be worth it even if it was just "suggested".

Also, it's in the instructions for the 129F, and the guides here on VJ.

I didn't include any letter of intent from me and my fiance and we got no rfe and we got approved.

There is a sample letter in the guides. It won't take that long for your fiancee to send it to you. It is noted in the instructions, so in spite of whether other people used one or not, why not just include it and be safe? Just because other people didn't get an RFE doesn't mean you won't.

I would just follow the guidellines and it states that a letter of intent is needed by both you and your fiance. It also states that you will need another letter of intent after you are receive the NOA2 and it should be sent to your fiance for the interview.

Having just joined this site I submitted the petition without either letters of intent, having the intuition from the petition instructions that it would be repetitive due to the very nature of the petition itself. After reading some of the posts here I felt a panic overcome me but I am going to pray that at the most only an RFE comes of it. The problem is, in terms of time, that I will be in Colombia all of January and part of February and that may just be when any RFE may arrive pertaining to this. I'll be hard praying that any RFE comes before I leave and if none comes, that NOA2 comes soon!

I guess to compensate I sent in a collage of pictures on 8.5 x 11 paper (about 5 sheets) each with 4-5 pictures of me and the future Señora R doing the tourist thing around Colombia in noticeably different ecosystems and settings (tropical beach vs cool city, rainforest vs dry mountains, etc). Maybe they'll get the picture that we like to spend not only time together but also travel together.
