They'll be playing against the Flyers but I don't care! I'll be the only one in the stands wearing my blue and white. And god knows they need all the cheering they can get right now.

Believe the leafs have won 3 straight.

We rarely go to any caps games, as the crowds suck!! Place is half empty! Only game I wil goto this yr is when the Flames come to town in Feb or march.

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

My Husband wants to go see the flames before we leave cowtown. He really wanted to go to the game tonight, he doesn't want to go to any old game, just certain ones.

Anyway, it is challenging trying to find any decent seats that aren't $1000. craziness I say.

I have been watching flyers games since I arrived because they don't show leafs games down here. I have just been reading about them on CBC.

They're in 10th place. I hope they kick the flyers asses when I go! I want to leave that game feeling satisfied.

Though I do have a new found admiration for the flyers since I have moved here. But ssh lets just keep that between us.

You guys are making me sooooooooooooo jealous. We went to the Blues-Blackhawks last weekend. Now, I want to go again.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

haha We went to see the Devils take on Pittsburg a couple weeks back. It wasn't too bad. They have a new arena now so I really wanted to see it.It's an AWESOME rink!!!

The game though was pretty mundane with crobsy looking alright but not outstanding like I wanted to see him.

I'd like to catch the sens the next time they come to town.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Coincidentally I just received this joke email:

I just wanted to give you a warning that if you are heading up toward the Toronto area on the 401 highway this week.

The Ontario Provincial Police are cracking down on speeders.

For the first offence they are giving two tickets to the Toronto Maple Leafs hockey game.

If you are stopped the second time they make you use them!!!!

j/k! Yeah, the Caps suck but as long as they are not playing the Islanders I will root for them. At least they seem to be doing a bit better with the new coach.

I can respect that.

You know what I dislike? How some leafs fans jump ship...last year for example.

You can't be a leafs fan and jump to the enemies ship when all else fails. You either are a leafs fan or you aren't.

The Islanders and I were born about the same time. My parents used to put my crib in front of the TV so I could watch the games. So I have a feeling I will be an Isles fan until I die. Which may be the next time they win a Cup!
