Wow...what a morning! We arrived early at Dr Seiden's office. Kelsie and I were the first ones in. One of the nurses was a little perturb at the Dr cause he came in and spoke to us before they had time to do things in the order they are accustomed too.

Usually the routine is - do the paperwork, get blood work done, x-ray, have the nurse / female dr do their thing and then Dr Seiden.

It was quick and painless. We started the process about 7:20 am and were on our way an hour later. For a medical, it was an enjoyable experience.

They will be sending my papers via courier on Wednesday. I should have them on Thursday and can really begin to patiently wait for our interview date.

Damn nurses, tell them to get their act together!! I'm a 1st yr RN student :-)

Glad it went well

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Hey, I was there Monday morning too. I arrived about 7:20 but they had the doors closed so I had to wait for someone to let me in. There where already people there when I was asked to join the waiting room. Were you the guy in the red hat?

I didn't see Dr. Seiden, I saw a female doctor. She was really nice and we had some things in common.

But I did catch some of the drama that you were mentioning.

My medical went well other than I had a minor surgery and a mammogram recently and they wanted copies of the results, so I now have spent the last two days calling and faxing the other doctors offices to forward them to Dr. Seiden.

After going threw the medical, I think that for some reason the Doctors in the Philippines must really grill people about drug and alcohol abuse and mental illness since I found that those questions were really short and sweet.

Good luck.

I was in a blue t-shirt. There were 2 other ladies with me besides my daughter. We sat directly in front of the windows and when I was in the waiting room, I sat on the grey covered area where the toys were. I was on my way by 8:20 am.

I saw Dr Seiden and a female Dr. guess I was just lucky to get 2.

Nope...only paid $20 for them both to be shipped to me.

Wow, must be nice.

Vancouver, they start you at 6:30AM. Early enough I had to spend the night. No ferry or plane could get me there that early. I was there from 6:30 to 2PM.

How much did they charge? ($275 is the normal BC rate)
