Guys, I called USCIS today for the first time and did the RFE trick to talk to an Immigration Officer. I wrote earlier about what he told me (that I wouldn't hear anything until after the first of the next year). So I was feeling pretty down and bracing myself for the wait, but then I opened my email this evening and I had a message from CRIS notifying me that the I-130 had been approved today and the notice mailed!!!   No word on the I-129F, though it did get touched today.

I'm not sure what happened or how it happened. I know the Officer was super nice when talking to me today and really helpful and we chatted for a while. If he's to thank, I thank him. If it's another officer there, I thank them. I definitely thank all of you for your help and info, and the biggest thanks to God!!!!:thumbs:

My husband and I are SO happy!!! At least one piece of this journey is done with and we can now keep going forward. I pray for speedy approvals for everyone still waiting. Please, keep the faith.

Congrats!

Both were probably approved, but don't be surprised if you don't get an email for the I129F. There were at least half a dozen K3s in the last 2 or 3 weeks that got an I130 approval email, but nothing for the I129F. A few days later, they got both NOA2s in the snail mail. Best of luck!

YEahhh....so happy for you. Congratulations!!!!! You know what, the same thing happened to me. When I called (on a Friday) to inquire about my case they told me that I would be approved like in a Month. Monday comes along and BOOM, I have my I-130 approval in the mail. Their computer system is SOOO bad, that it doesn't automatically update...they didn't even know I was approved when I called.

Anyways, congrats and like Urge said, you will probably get both NOA2's in the mail.

That was quick, you are lucky, I wish the same good lock to everyone out there going on this journey.

BTW, my case was one of those that Urge to Race mention, where we got touches on both I-130 and I-129F then the I-130 status says approved, where the I-129F doesn't, so do some others [My_Honey, GandMAT and others]
