As far as I know, the NVC doesn't "drop" your CR1 until it has been inactive for a year, so you should be more than able to just pick up where you left off. Call NVC and see what you need to do.

Hang in there, I'm sure everything will work out for the best in the end (F)

CR-1 is the superior visa, it is an Immigrant visa, gets green-card upon entry, allowing work.

K-3 has to adjust status ($1010 FEE) and cannot work until getting EAD or the Green-Card, EAD can take 90 days to get.

going for the CR1 is about TIME i will pay a million dollars to have him here i dont care about money

even if i get involved with the james shortcuts i'm looking at another 14 months AT BEST!!!!!!!

This short time we spend out of our life caught up in paperwork due 2 things we cannot control realy is only a small part of our life..You found your better half in another country as well as all of us here.

Don't get depressed or loss hope ok?..We can control what we do, how we live our lives..When it comes to this not much control we have you know?..Have to find your way to deal with this, you can do it..Listen to zeenusah, plenty of people here going through the same thing..Just don't lose hope..

It's only a small part of time, you know?

I'm sorry to hear this, DivineMercy... but don't give up.. NEVER EVER do that.. I just got into a little problem myself... you can read about it in another thread.. let's keep this one about you... are you able to call them to retrieve your I-130? If not, can you apply for one again? They are really getting too ridiculous now.. stopping people who love each other from living together... think that America is top dog, all that, or God.. well, in another 20 years, we will see who is "top dog" around here.. it sure won't be America... they only restrict others because of their "worries or concerns" that other countries might be more successful than them.. want to see a FU##KE# UP part 2? just take a look at my recent post..

OMG, Kathryn, I am so sorry to hear this. I was afraid something like this might happen to you and vjer davejazz. Neenuh had the same thing happen 2 months back. Not having an underlying I130 pending made her I129F moot is what they told her. I posted this in several threads, thinking of the 2 of you since your I130 was approved so long ago and you I129Fs still pending.

Hang in there. You are not starting from scratch. NVC did not return your approved I130. Pay the IV fee bill and the Affidavit of support bill today. Read up on James' shortcuts and see if they can help you move through NVC quicker. You may have to wait for the interview, but you already have a few steps going at NVC, and maybe you can whip it through there.

Oh Kathryn, so sorry to hear this. But like rebeccajo said, this may be a blessing in disguise.

Why do you have to start from scratch? Don't they have the approved I-130? I would think they would just go from there.

Just take a deep breath. Everything is going to be OK (F)

I have to go home, I cant sit in work right now.

I lost 4 months waiting for this stupid K3

My son is going to be 3 before he sees his father.

its just one blow too many

i'm not going to make it thru the day

Rebecca,

Kathryn's calculations are based on a 10 month wait for a CR1 interview in Lagos. She got the IV fee bill and AoS bill from NVC 4 months ago. She still has processing at NVC to go through. But really, the bulk of it is the wait in Lagos.

Why do you think it will take 14 months to process the CR1?

Why do you think it will take 14 months to process the CR1?

for the reason I didn't pursue the CR1 when the I-130 was first approved. Accd. to vj stats, it takes about ten months to get a CR1 interview in Lagos, Nigeria. If anyone knows any different PLEASE now would be the time to speak up.

Add that to the 4 months or so it will take to get the I-130 completed at the NVC level.. u get approx. 14 months.

I just left my senators office. They're a bunch of retards. No one understands this system at all. They said they will contact VSC in a week or so. I'm sure my other senator can get things going faster but the immi guy isn't in the office today (of course).

I won't kill myself, then I'll NEVER see him again. I believe in hell and God and all that happy horse #######. USCIS will kill me off before I get the chance to do it to myself.

Hun - hang in there this is totally bs - they meaning USCIS are so screwed up that another VJ member and I called the mis information hotline today and got two different answers in a matter of an hour - I can only send you a cyber hug right now since we are far apart but again, the system sucks, THE USA GOVERNMENT HAS NO CLUE WHAT IS GOING ON and if they did, they would probably all go out on session until the next election.

Hope you smiled on that and all I can think of is well never mind, I would get banned for putting that word here...

major support here for you

You Know I am reading this wondering if that is what is happening with me. My K-3 fee was waived as stated when i check the status of my 129F.

I have not been waiting that long for the 129F though, just a few weeks. Remember we talked abou this already devine?

I know how the dissapointing news can hit. I cannot imagine with a little one too. Remember that you have to keep your chin up around him for him. If you believe that faith brought you together, you must believe that it will not keep you apart.

I am so blessed here in america that every time this process is taking longer then we planned, I feel for my husband. He has so much to look forward to. It must be more dissapointing for them.

I am going to now question my lawyer about 129F's being cancled because of approved 130. Because mine was approved quicker than inticapated.

Talk to you soon. If my son lets me. We are fasting TV and the Computer for 5 days. 1 day down. Time for me to head home.
