Waiting Period Between Biometrics Letter and Actual Appt.

I think the title says it all. We'll be sending out our 751 packet around 12/4/07. We'll be out of the country between 12/23-12/31. My (perhaps irrational) fear is that we'll receive the letter for the Biometrics appt. while we're away. So, I was just wondering if anyone could give me feedback, specifically on the VSC, on the amount of time between receipt for the Biometrics Appt. and the actual appt.

04/03/09 Card Production Ordered

04/10/09 10 Year Greencard Received!

I think it will have more to do with the wait times at your local ASC than your service center. Based on what I've seen on VJ, wait times range from two weeks to 45 days.

09/22/2009 Passport approved and mailed

09/24/2009 Passport received

08/26/2009 Naturalization Certificate and Name Change Petition arrive back from State Department
