I am 32 yo and I am applying for a VISA K1, but I had a record (using drugs ) for twice (14 and 6 years ago). The case was solved, I didnt to the prision, I was in probation for 2 years in both cases. At this period I did not use drugs anymore.

Now I am worried that report from the Policy will show these cases and the Immigration service will not give me the permission because of this.

I would like to know where I can look for any information about similar case or any one knows if they can deny or not, because of my past.

I thank you in advance for any information.

Have you looked at your police record? If you say you have a record of drug use, then there is a high probability it is going to show up on the police record. If that is the case, your chances of being denied is very high.

Are you the petitioner or the beneficiary?

If you are the US citizen, it doesnt matter, as long as you send everything in at once (otherwise your name will show up flagged and they will delay while they research it). If you are the beneficiary, your chances of being approved are next to nil. Even for very early drug use I'm sorry to say. Wish you the best, that part of the law kind of sux i know.
