i-129F QUESTION 18 EXAMPLES?

Hello all... I'm currently writing up the supplemental sheet about how me and my fiance met in the past few years. We've seen each other 8 times. I've got photographic evidence, boarding passes, receipts, visa stamps etc. But now, to write it up...

Few quick questions:

1) How long should this additional sheet be? 1 page, more?

2) Should it be narrative style, or just bullet points?

3) What kind of info do they need -- exact day and dates of entry/exit (he's mostly come to the US to see me); where we stayed, what we did?

4) DOES ANYONE HAVE ANY EXAMPLES OF THIS SHEET THEY CAN POST?

Thanks!!

I used about a sheet, others used just the space provided next to #18.

I just told them how we met, where we stayed, where we went on each day and had pictures to back that up, and also who we met up with (her friends etc).

Write it like your writing an essay or letter. One page should be enough, and you can use dates of certain special events. Well I just started from the beginning, how I met my fiance, when we became a couple, journeys in between, how we communicated, when I finally met my fiance, how I proposed to my fiance... blah blah blah. You are just basically summarizing all your evidences that you have into a story... those are my 2 cents.. good luck.

My lady and I spent almost 8 months together in Brazil, and I just returned from a week visit with her, I put it all into one page, resume style.

My friend who has successfully completed the process said that they need to be convinced of your love and that the letter should definitely have the lovey dovey stuff. Does anyone else have any comments on this?

I just used the space on the form....date and where we met, and that I had visited him an additional (I forget how many now) times since.

I wrote one line, in the space provided.

'I met AAm while I was working in Singapore'

...that was all!

Names, places, dates and the next time I was going to see him. That is all I included, no lovey dovey stuff, and we were approved.

When you get to the consulate interview, that is where you have to prove that you have a bona fide relationship.

Yes, factual is what they're looking for. The USCIS is looking for a statement that basically shows you have met within the last 2 years. It's at the consulate where you're going to have to prove that birds suddenly appear every time he is near... :)

The lovey dovey stuff has it's place (a separate set of evidence with the I-129f and mostly for the K-1 visa interview), but it's completely unnecessary for question 18. I just used a one-sentence statement saying how/where we met.

I am a firm believer that more is better

I could just be very inattentive, but I've yet to hear of an RFE for question 18, unless it wasn't answered at all. People sweat this one a lot, but really it's just a check to make sure you've met within the last 2 years. More is generally better, but I think it's important to focus energies where they'll do the most good.
