I am in the proces of starting a visa for my girlfriend she is Thai I am from the usa .K1 visa Fiance' I have reviewed the forms and have gathered almost all the information. I am currently living with her in Thailand .The biggest problem I am having at this point is getting information about her mother it askes this on one of the forms Name ,Birth date and place of Birth. She has an Id card and a Thai Passport.

She has been with her father since she was young the father has re married more than 1 time since. She was not born in a hospital and knows nothing of her birth mother. There is a communication barrior and my Thai is not good what questions can I ask and to who. Do they even look at this data I am asking for some advice on this subject and would be very greatfull to here from anbody with this same experience.

The only thought I have is you might contact the local US Embassy or Consulate closest to you in Thailand and ask them hot such a situation should be handled.

You might have more luck posting this in the K1 forum.

09/04/2009 Applied for passport

09/22/2009 Passport approved and mailed

09/24/2009 Passport received

08/26/2009 Naturalization Certificate and Name Change Petition arrive back from State Department
