the embassy mailed packet 3 to my fiance on the 6th...why hasnt it arrived yet??

i dont know about the albanian post, but 8 days seems a little excessive to send something from point a to point b, being that they are in the same city

Well, according to the DHL tracking our petition was signed for at the embassy today, but DOS still does not show it in the system at the embassy. hopefully it will get recorded in tomorrow. anyone know how long it took for their petitions to show up in computer system?? on a brighter note my fiance got his medical scheduled for Jan 7th, so we are on our way. just still really hoping to get an interview by the end of January to make our Feb 16th wedding date! we need to get our stuff inputed into the embassy system so we can send off the packet 3 which thanks to VJ we have all ready to go!!!! we are cutting it sooooooo fine.......fingers crossed

oooooh I wonder if they will run into each other! that would be proper funny.....excuse me, but is your fiance on this crazy forum by any chance?? and then they head over to a pub together! I wonder what time his appt is.....Matt's is at 8:45 AM ouch!!! is julez at knightsbridge?

oh and looking at other stats debz, it looks like people got their packet 3 about 10 days after being recorded into the system at the embassy, so your should come really soon!!!!

It would be bizarre to meet on medical day! But my guy is at Bentick Mansions @ 2:30 pm, so unlikely for us. I still think we should plan for a meetup once everyone is over from the UK - that would be a blast!

We were told that Packet 3 was sent last Tues, 11 Dec. Still not received yet. UGH! Bloody Royal Mail. But, he has all the forms filled out and will be sending it back overnight special delivery as soon as its received.

It would be bizarre to meet on medical day! But my guy is at Bentick Mansions @ 2:30 pm, so unlikely for us. I still think we should plan for a meetup once everyone is over from the UK - that would be a blast!

I'm kinda hoping for a late summer/early autumn Vegas meet up - I will have to have my legal wedding then so thought it would be awesome if everyone met up for a long weekend of something then you could all come to my wedding - would be awesome!!

UMMMMM, no airplane ride with 3 kids. No, nay, never!!! Or maybe when they're a bit older, but for now, we fly solo! As for the grandparents, my Mom is the only one left and they are a handful for her on her own! I usually take the divide and conquer approach and find a different place for each of them!

me too!!! and then I feel bad about it because I want a load of kids and we will no doubt be travelling with them to london frequently and I want someone to have mercy when its my turn to be the mom with the screaming kids!

I think a vegas meet up would rock. Jeraly, you should do a theme for the vegas wedding....I am picturing mini wedding dress and go go bouts with really big hair! just have some fun with it Matt and I met in vegas while waiting in the same line for a taxi cab....I could have told you that night I was going to marry that man! so needless to say we love vegas!

Me too - has been my dream for almost a decade - had too many US friends saying I can't judge the states by X state so decided I would visit them all - only visited 7 so far though so have a ways to go!! We should go road tripping together Would be awesome!!!

I'm normally quite sympathetic to children being on planes - I know their parents (most of the time) do their best and it only really annoys me if I have someone kicking the back of my seat (adults are equally as guilty) or if the parents are obviously just letting their kids run riot!!!

Defo want a theme - was thinking pink blouse, white jeans, cowboy boots and pink tacky stetson I also want to get married by an Elvis impersonator just for sheer tacky comedy value
