After the i-129f is approved by USCIS, it is transmitted somehow to the respective embassy/consulate. Anyone know just how it is sent? Fedex? Diplomatic pouch? email? snailmail? carrier pidgeon? (that could explain why some just don't get there). Just curious is all.

Yes, LOL

First off once it is approved it is transmitted via a cable. It is electronically sent to the consulate or embassy. Then the hard copies are sent out diplomatic pouches via a few different carriers. I know that they use DHL for alot of the transfers. You can check DHL using this information if you know the date it was to ship.

1. Go to the DHL site and ask to track by reference number.

2. Type I-730 as the reference number.

3. Put in the dates you wish to start the check and it will list all embassies that had shipments go out that day and you can track up till it is delivered.

Once the hard copies arrives it has to be matched to the electronic cabled copied and then hand keyed into the system. After this happens it shows at the embassy. Good luck.
