Jame's Shortcuts

Hello everyone!!!

Since only my I-130 was approved I was hoping to get some help with the rest of the process (CR1). Have you guys been using Jame's shortcuts? Do these really work? I was referred to a thread here in visajourney.com that tells you step by step what you need to do with James Shortcuts. However, this post is from February 2006. Does this still work? Are the fees and addresses current?

All your help will be appreciated. I did not except to take the CR1 route, so I am fairly new at this.

Thank you,

YG and MAT

I've been preparing forms ahead of time - like the Agent selection (Form 3*** - I forget the number) , AOS, & DS230 - that, you can do - and because you need some signatures from your spouse for the DS230 and the Agent selection. Just having your forms ahead of time will save a lot of time. I'm a little bit squeamish about doing my own barcodes, though. :)

I've seen what a single digit typo can do at work - it was an expensive mistake... and I'm not willing to make that kind of mistake with my forms.

So, DO download & print your forms. And remember - when doing the DS230 & Selection of agent - you CAN e-mail your spouse the form to sign - you just need to submit an original signature - so - the signed form needs to be mailed back to you for submission to DOS.

The moral of my story: Stick with someone who matches your own culture.

( This coming from an Arab who married an Arab from overseas... go figure. )

Cover letter of Cover Sheet? There is a big difference between these two. I suggest you go to the National Visa Center forum and read the Timesavers thread found on the top of the page, pages 1, 10 & 11. They tell you in detail how the process works at the NVC and how to generate the barcodes needed for the coversheets.

 I used the James Shortcut v2.0 from start to finish and I must say that without it, it will be another lonely holidays for our family.
