Well dammit!!! Give my petition to the fast worker!!!

I don't envision a huge pile of apps on a desk nearly as much as a numbering system that numbers the apps as they are received. They are then worked in the order they come in the door, much like "Please Take a Number". It really doesn't matter which way they do it. I am impatient now and nothing short of a NOA2 will calm me down at this point though I will try and behave myself.

There is a thread floating around here somewhere, I want to say from February but I could be wrong, where a former USCIS employee answered a ton of questions about the process. If I remember correctly, petitions are placed in boxes, and then once an adjudicator empties one box, they go grab another box and bring it over to their desk. So each individual adjudicator works more on the batch level than the individual petition level.

I could be wrong about that, it's been awhile since I read it. I'll see if I can dig the link up. In any case, it's an interesting read.

Its because more and more american guys have found out what MacArthur knew in WWII

Pinay ladies are the best

I just searched the VJ timelines for approved K1's from CSC and found 12 I-129f's received at the same time as or later than my application that have had NOA2's issued. I have not had my application touched. The majority of the NOA2's are from Manilla or Asia. Is this SOP to put certain geographical areas ahead of others. Is that what is happening here? Does anyone know why my application seems to be on hold?

would be nice, but can you imagine the logistics of it? only one petition on each adjudicator's desk at any one time... some poor sod with a trolley scurrying about giving out the Very Next One In Line as soon as a little buzzer goes... would be impossible

don't worry, you'll get there :)

The Very Secret Diary of Legolas Son of Weenus - by Cassandra Claire

Day One: Went to Council of Elrond. Was prettiest person there. Agreed to follow some tiny little man to Mordor to throw ring into volcano. Very important mission - gold ring so tacky.

Day Six: Far too dark in Mines of Moria to brush hair properly. Am very afraid I am developing a tangle.

Orcs so silly.

Still the prettiest.

Day 35: Boromir dead. Very messy death, most unnecessary. Did get kissed by Aragorn as he expired. Does a guy have to get shot full of arrows around here to get any action? Boromir definitely not prettier than me. Cannot understand it. Am feeling a pout coming on.

Frodo off to Mordor with Sam. Tiny little men caring about each other, rather cute really.

Am quite sure Gimli fancies me. So unfair. He is waist height, so can see advantages there, but chunky braids and big helmet most off-putting. Foresee dark times ahead, very dark times.

I know but it is just so hard to find the patience when everyday now is a battle to keep the hope alive.

Calling an illegal alien an "undocumented immigrant" is like calling a drug dealer an "unlicensedregistered pharmacist". (because somebody gives a damn)

there MAY be more to it than that, but I've yet to be convinced :)

I think you have it spot on. There are hundreds of thousands of petitions that go through the system. Even discounting RFE's, there's just no way they can be processed in exactly the same order. The only way that could happen is if there was one person working on all petitions, one at a time. Once you start parallelizing the workflow (can you tell I'm a project manager? :) ) then things start to get out of sync. Where I would be concerned is if all of a sudden June filers stopped seeing NOA2's, and October filers were being approved left and right. But what we're actually seeing is a distribution that we would roughly expect to see, however slow that may be.

Once you start parallelizing the workflow......

Stop it, I'm having flashbacks.....

I understand this but I still don't know why all but two of these applications were received after mine and yet there is still no word. I am like everyone else. Just fraking out a little because I am still in limbo. Arrrggggg!!!

It is baffling how petitions filed after yours get approved before yours. Most people on here have experienced this same frustration, I know I did. Unfortunately it seems to be normal for this flawed process. Hang in there and good luck!

Best not to leave any of the Russian girls out of that sweeping statement. You wouldn't like them when they're angry...

I took my love shopping in Taganrog and entered the store a few minutes after she did. She overheard the owner tell an employee to empty the American's wallet. I did not understand the words that followed but I was very glad they were not directed at me. I will do my best never to let that fountain of Russian vocabulary be directed in at me!!!

Thanks for letting me vent a little. I was hoping that today was the day but much to my amusement it is Veterans Day which is ironic as I am a Veteran and cursed this day all day today because the mail didn't run and USCIS was closed. Perhaps tomorrow will bring the news I so eagerly await.

LOL. It's not a question of "if" it happens, only "when." You *will* find yourself on that end of a tirade, and when it happens you will be completely unprepared. Because you won't even know what you did to cause it to happen until she's done with the screaming and the hand waving and the more of the screaming. Oh and the "p'too'ing." If she does the p'tooing, then you know you're in big trouble.

The best part is that you won't know whether to be very, very afraid, or very, very turned on.

Wait...did I say that last part aloud?:)

CSC has always been slow, i waited 6 months before i got an NOA2. With the current hike in k-1 apps lately bc of the fee hike, the wait looks like it may be a tad longer.

the workers are working as fast as they can. Trust me im sure theyd rather be at home with their families then working on paperwork all the time and most of the files are not even complete. so its not like they are purposly being slow.

take a deep breathe, and relax, when your time is here then you can rejoice and forget the stress of being stuck at CSC.
