Is it a red flag if they have not yet cashed the check. And to follow when they do cash the check does that mean everything is good to go?

The first thing they do before starting processing of the petition is cash the check, it has been taking this long for many to see check cashed since the big rush of filers before July 30.

Did you at least use a trackable method to send package to USCIS like USPS Priority mail?

It just takes a month or so to cash the check lately because there is a bit of a backlog. When they do cash the cheque it just means that you are good to wait for around 4 months or so until a case worker takes it off the shelf to work on it.

Don't worry, we sent our petition the same day as you, and havn't gotten the check cashed or NOA1 yet. At the end of last week, they were working on NOA1 for some petitions that arrived 9-26. I expect we'll get NOA1 any day now. But it will be at least another day since today is a holiday.
