Did the Consulate keep your passport?

Casablanca almost always runs a security check before issuing a visa, and they usually call the beneficiary to bring their passport when the visa is ready. The security checks take various amounts of time, anywhere from a week to several months, although two or three weeks seems to be the average.

Casa issues two different forms 221(g). One mentions administrative processing and/or the need to bring in more documentation.

The second kind of 221(g) says that the petition is being returned to USCIS and to contact them. Does the one you received say anything like that? It doesn't sound like it, but you need to be sure, because if it does, there is some action you need to take immediately.

If you are sure you have given them everything they asked for, it sounds like you are just in the waiting game and that all you can do is be patient. You may wish to visit this thread for more information about interviewing in Casablanca.

yes, they kept my passport.

In that case, the security checks might already be completed, so I'd give them a call to see if they need anything else.

From what you have said (your descripton of the 221(g) and the fact that they kept your passport) it sounds like you are fine. This part of the wait is not easy. After my husband's interview, they called him two times to travel to Casa to get his visa, and then they would tell him no, not ready yet, come back next week or come back tomorrow. This is just Casa, unfortunately, with delays for no apparent reason sometimes. But what you wrote sounds positive. This is not fun for you, but it is normal for Casa. Please try not to worry.
