What? Does he done both? I put millitary service in my own country (Finland) but then again I've never done (nor do I intend to do) military service in the US... I guess if there's multiple options (like your husband having a military carear for instance) to put both of them in. You can attach a separate sheet (I had to do so for US visits and the space came close in a few other questions as well)... Oh, and I'm approved so apparently I did something correctly :).

On this question do they want information on military service for the United States or military service in the beneficiary's country?

The DS-230 is for the beneficiary/applicant (person needing the visa) to fill out. NOT THE PETITIONER (US Citizen) who is doing the sponsoring.

So if your non US citizen spouse ever served in their country's military, they should list the info.

Thankyou Stabu. That is what I needed clarification on. When my husband asked me about it, I wasnt sure about it since it wasn't specified. If you put down your own military service there, it must be the correct thing. I'll let the hubby know. Thanks again, oh and thanks for not assuming I'm stupid and don't know what the DS-230 is and who is supposed to fill it out ;)
