For CR-1 visa case, once my wife arrives in US:

Green Card: What do we have to do?

SS number and SS card: I have checked "yes"the box on DS-230. Do we have to go to SS office, or it is taken care of automatically?

Along with DS-230, there was a questioner sheet from NVC and one item was POE and I put Dallas, can she enters US thru other

US airport?

Thanks

Green card: should be automatic, may take anywhere from two days to two months to recieve. In the mean time your wife can work by showing her passport while waiting for the real thing.

SSN and SSC: should be automatic, but it may also take a while.

And could you please specify what questioner sheet are you talking about? This info wasn't in the DS-230, I'm sure. As far as I understand you can choose any POE you want. Hopefully you can check this with someone else just to be sure...

It's not that it's illegal. It's just that most employers will not hire without a SSN.
