I was really wondering if this is a true fact. I read somewhere that CSC is waiting to fill crates and then sending approvals to NVC. Because they have a new shipping contractor. Does anyone have any more information on this? If your paperwork is not there for the current crate, you must wait for the next crate to fill.... :wacko:

Yes, my husband was told something to this at an info pass appointment. That once they are done with your petition, it goes into a bin and doesn't get shipped out until the bin is full. This is why they are now saying it's probably going to take a minimum of 30-90 days for it reach the NVC now.

Yes, my husband was told something to this at an info pass appointment. That once they are done with your petition, it goes into a bin and doesn't get shipped out until the bin is full. This is why they are now saying it's probably going to take a minimum of 30-90 days for it reach the NVC now.

I was hoping this was not true. Oh, well..... 5 months for NOA2...Now, an additional 5 months until interview. :(

April 13, 2009 - Welcome to the USA letter rec'd. PRC to be rec'd within 3 weeks.

April 16, 2009 - 2 yr GC rec'd in mail.

March 2, 2011 - Mailed in I-751 to CSC

March 4, 2011 - I-751 delivered to CSC

March 4, 2011 - NOA issued

March 12, 2011 - NOA received

April 14, 2011 - BIO Appt 5/6/11

May 6, 2011 - BIO done in 10 minutes...no re-takes this time :)

June 27, 2011 - Email rec'd "Status - Approved"

July 1, 2011 - 10 yr GC arrived

Not with a visa in her hand. Montreal is a 4-6 month wait for an interview once they receive package three.

Waiting for a crate to fill up before shipping only makes sense to me. Doesn't seem very cost efficient to send off all the files individually. I think that those crates don't sit around for more than a couple weeks before they are shipped off. Besides, they must have some procedure in place that if a crate doesn't fill up within a certain timeframe, they are shipped anyway.

It could be worse, this process won't last forever. At least that is what I keep telling myself...

If you check in the K3 forum it is taking roughly 4-6 weeks for NVC to receive and input the file (example: a 20th September approval was entered into their system about 5 days ago). My petition is currently waiting in the bin to be sent, so I'll just have to cross my fingers that it doesn't take longer than that.

Josh will begin phoning up the NVC from the 4 week-mark... here's counting.

Seems weird to me that it takes so long for the cases to get from CSC to NVC, particularly if you look at VSC - they usually get files to NVC within a week of approval. I know Cali is farther away, but its not like we use the Pony Express to deliver mail anymore.

I'm at 47 days and waiting to hear from NVC. My NOA2 was Sept 19th. It is now Nov 5th.

I suppose they throw the first petitions in the bottom of the crate -- first in, last out.

May 7, 2007 -- I-129F K1 sent to NSC

Dec 26, 2007 -- K1 Visa approved.

Sep 16, 2008 -- AOS/EAD/AP sent to Chicago

Apr 01, 2009 -- Conditional green card arrives.

I think this is true... Because thats how they must be processing paper work, Despatching them all ... and i have seen one more thing many of the VJ friends getting approval mails the same night.... not thats not a coinicidence.....

The same I think they do to set up interview dates.

This is waht I do with my mail, wait until the box is full the take it to the post office, the bill collectors do not like this method, takes 6 to 8 months to fill the box.
