I been in bed all day the journey tired me out.

So here goes better late then never.

Thursday lunchtime I got the train from Liverpool to London first class as I was able to get a good ticket. I stayed in the Holiday Inn Express opposite Colliers Wood Tube station. £59.50 for the night. Only 20 mins from Waterloo. Friday morning up at 5am. I had very little sleep so made sure my paperwork was in order. I left my hotel room at 6am ready for my breakfast checked out and got on the tube at about 6:30am. What a rip off the tube is £4 from Euston to Hotel and £7.30 for a travel card. I got to Waterloo just before 7am and put my bag in left luaggage and went on my way to Bond Street. I found the embassy and waited in line. There was only one person dealing with the line. Eventually someone else came out and things started moving. It was 7:40am I got to the embassy I guess. I put all my bounty of electrical goods into a plastic bag and went through all the entry procedures. I got into the embassy and was given my number. As many people say its like Argos crossed with a bank. I took my seat and noticed there was a quite a few people getting visas so that they can gain entry to USA as air attendents and yes I seen someone famous. I seen a band Razorlight was there getting there visas for there up coming tour. I watched the numbers go by on the screen. After a couple of trips to the rest room and sitting down people watching my number was called. I went to a counter where a very nice polite American gentleman went and got my file and the famous xray. He did my fingerprints and then asked me for various forms. I gave him my folder and he took out everything he needed. I then went to pay £48.20 for the visa fee then went back to desk. I was given the pink courier form to fill in and waited to my number was called again. Not long after I was called up. A very nice friendly American older lady was at the counter. I put my left hand on the finger print machine and then she went through the paperwork and asked me a few questions. How and when did you meet your fiancee? When you did you first meet face to face? How did you propose? How does your mom feel about me moving? How do I feel about moving to a new country? And she said I see you both have never been married before. I made her laugh about the proposal and I had my lucky John Deere baseball cap on. She said that she can't see any reason why it can't be approved and sent me with the pink form to pay the courier. I got my bounty back from security. I turned on my cell and my fiancee had sent me an email and I replied back saying hi. She said any news? I said yes we been declined. I did tell her that I was joking. She said thank god she was in tears. I found everyone I dealt with to be polite. I just can't wait to get my visa in passport. I was out in two hours and spent the day in London as I was booked on a late train. I was exhausted when I got back last night.
