Cheers!!!

A recent study found the average Canadian walks about 900 miles a year.

Another study found Canadians drink, on average, 22 gallons of beer a year.

That means, on average, Canadians get about 41 miles to the gallon.

Kind Of Makes You Proud To Be Canadian ....eh?

They may be drinking my portion because I don't drink beer. Maybe the odd Guinness once or twice a year, but that's about it.

Just as a side note..... since I'm sure I'm not the only person who doesn't drink 22 GALLONS :o of beer in a year.... just how much beer are those beer drinkers really consuming?!!! Holy Toledo. :dead::lol:

I drink more beer down here in the USA, so much cheaper!! Forgot how pricey beer was back home, until i went to the Till at the LB store!! Think I bought 48 beer and was close to $100!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I aint much of a beer drinker either, but I do like strong liquor  whatcha gonna do eh?

I'm a wine lover, myself. In fact, I recently joined the wine club at the local vintages store here. I made the decision to do that the day after I called my girlfriend in Canada balling my eyes out. My husband had been promoted a few months ago and was/is working non-stop, 24/7. Even the few hours he was home he was getting calls from work, so I was beginning to feel like a non-entity. Being so far from home only exacerbated my sense of loneliness. Unfortunately, it seemed like whenever I made calls to anyone in Canada they never picked up. One (lonely) night I had called some family members, completely forgetting that it was the Canada Day weekend so no one was answering their phone. (They'd all gone away.) This made me feel sadder because I would normally have gone with them, so I decided to call my best friend. As soon as she picked up the phone and I heard a familiar voice, I started balling my eyes out. Poor Arlene thought something was terribly wrong. She kept saying "What's wrong? What's wrong?" And all I could say through my tears was "Nothing's wrong." :(:lol:

Anyway, that's the reason why I joined the wine club. Arlene told me to go and do something for myself, so I did. Cheers to wine and best friends.
