Hello All thanks for your answers, i am still a bit confused i read on a site about consular report of birth ( The US

CITIZEN PARENT MUST HAVE BEEN PHYSICALLY PRESENT IN THE UNITED STATES FOR A PERIOD OF OR PERIODS TOTALLING FIVE YEARS PRIOR TO THE BIRTH OF THE CHILD, AT LEAST TWO YEARS OF WHICH WERE AFTER THE US CITIZEN PARENT REACHEAD THE AGE OF 14 YEARS.) my cousins husband has been living in the US as a permanent resident for 17 years, he got natralized before the birth of his son, can he trasmit US Citizenship to his son? during these years he lived in the US, only came to Jamaica on visits

Was the child born in the U.S.? If not, I think the parents (the U.S. citizen) can go to the nearest U.S. Consulate/Embassy and register the birth there.

07/25/2008: NOA-1s for all 3 received

08/20/2008: Biometrics appointment

08/22/2008: Received RFE for Affadivit of Support and Medical

10/21/2008: Submitted I-865W in lieu of co-sponsor and medical info to NSC

11/14/2008: online case status not updated since filing of AOS in July 2008

01/20/2009: Received another RFE for Affadavit of Support Info

02/02/2009: Responded to RFE with brand new AOS based on 2008 tax return (if that doesn't shut them up, dunno what will)

02/19/2009: EAD card received in mail (no updates on Online Case Status ever made)

02/23/2009: AP received (again, no online updates)

02/26/2009: Received interview appointment letter for 4/6/09

04/06/2009: AOS approved for unconditional GC

04/21/2009: GC received

Yes he can, there is a document called the affidavit of physical presence which he he will have to complete, it can be quite extensive, in my case i went to college and post grad training so i used my certificates as additional proof to establish the > 5yrs time frame,

The first step is just have your cousin go into the US embassy in Jamaica and ask for the application for Consular Report of Birth, they should give him a package of forms that is pretty clear in its instructions.

The key is CHILD born to USC, if they want to get picky the will ask for DNA
