Hello Folks,

I would like to invite my wife using a visitor visa. My I-130 process just started in August (NO RECEIPT AS OF YET!!!!) So I am anxious for her to at least get here for a few months to get acclamated. Without getting into details about anyone's situation, I would like to gain some info as to decide on what to do. ( IHAVE READ THE CAVEATS ALREADY) If there are any success stories ( especailly from India ) I would love to hear back.

I appreciate your feedback but if decide again sharing some or al info, I completely understand.

Did your wife apply in US consulate ?(If in India where)

Did you apply for X months visa and received X months or apply for 3+ or more months and got only 2 as an example?

What stage were you in when you all applied for visa, ex I 130 filing, or I 129 or file at NVC?

Can one call USICS at US office or (Foriegn) India consulate?

Was your spouse well travelled internationally (lot of stamps on her passport)?

Was she interviewed upon given visa at consulate or simply picked up a successful visa on her passport without having to meet anyone.

I really appreciate your shedding some light on these issues?

Hello,

VERY DOUBTFUL that you will get any positive responses to your question. Once your I-129-f documents are files, you kiss your opportunities GOOD BYE for your fiance to visit. The problem is....many of these women/men have ABSOLUTELY no reason to return to their country when the person they "love" is here in the USA. I used " " on the word "love" because there is a lot of VISA FRAUD from some countries....some worse than others. I do not know where India ranks on the list but....I think it is fairly close to the top of the list.

Your Significant Other must have huge ties to their country....such as: Property, an ongoing and profitable business, a lot of money in the bank and other things to be determined. Save yourself time, money and frustration and be patient.

Regards,

Craig

Hello All,

I am looking for successful cases where one has applied for Visitor's visa while a I-130/!-129K is in process. I know of cases where that has been done so they do exist, may not be in great numbers etc.

Can anyone on this board suggest any scenerios/helpful hints where one would improve the chances of getting a visa for a few months. I am one of the unfortunate ones who filed in August *( AFTER The mad rush and backlogs began) and my I-130 had not even been opened yet since AUGUST, No case number .......no nothing.

So I am looking at options to at least have my wife visit US for a short while. At this point, I do not care that it will cost a lot in airline tickets etc, a good healthy start of a marriage is at stake and i am trying my best to avoid any problems.

Please if you have info or know of anyone who has successfully gotten visas in these circumstances, please write back in detail.

Appreciate in advance - s

If it was possible, everyone would be doing it... at least everyone who can afford it.

We filed in august too, and we're just going to have to wait, like everyone else.

It's a pain in the ###, but the sooner you accept you'll just have to wait, the better you will deal with the wait.
