Morning everyone. I'm on my second cup here but it's not working.

I couldn't get to sleep last night either because I was excited about the Red Sox winning game 2 and I'm nervous about my appointment today with my Congressman's office. I don't know what to expect. She said to bring my paperwork but all I have are my applications....not sure what else she wants. I'll let you know how it goes but I'm not at all hopeful it will help me since on the phone she indicated that she expects AP to take 8 months. At least I'll know I did everything in my power though.

Doodle, sorry I'm late in wishing you good luck. I know my Congressman wouldn't do much to help us when we were in AP. Keep the faith girlie! :)

Good morning everyone! Today is my daughter's 15th birthday! Wow another birthday! Going to my mom's to sing happy birthday this afternoon, we're eating pizza (her choice) then it's off to a girls night out!! I told her, we can :pop: go to the movies and you get to choose, and she said: "I want to see "SAW IV"!! :girlwerewolf2xn: Oh well, it IS her birthday after all, so I have to be a good sport about it. LOL

Ohhhh and I got her a beautiful 14k gold ring that has a rose and the number 15 on it! :luv: Her first ring ever! She's so excited.

Anyway, have a great weekend all!

Hugs,

Ayesha (F)

Awwwww!!!! That is so sweet and so special! What a neat gift. :D

Well I just got back from the congressman's office. I don't know what to feel. She gave me the talk about how it can take up to a year in administrative processing and how Cairo is understaffed, but I responded by telling her that I'm a member of a visa message board and that I know some who have interviewed after me and received their visas and some before me who's ap was only a few weeks. She said they're probably doing background checks then.

Anyhoo she took a copy of my noa2 letters and then when she found out that I have RA she told me that she wants me to have my Rheumatologist write a note stating that I need my husband here to help me out due to my medical condition. It was funny because I asked her about how to expedite the process and she said it's not possible but then I went on about how I am on hold for my RA meds until I get pregnant and she said, "Oooooh,...you have a medical condition...well THAT's a different story!". lol.

My Rhuematologist isn't in on Fridays so I guess I'll have to wait until Monday. I feel kind of weird asking him to write the letter though. I mean what he needs to write goes against everything I believe in..i.e. that I need help from a man. lol. I just hope he doesn't say no. I'm almost thinking of asking my PCP to write a letter since she's in today but her office is notorious for not getting letters out until weeks later. (Like when I need camp forms filled out, etc.)

So I guess we'll see what happens next week. I'm worried now about how to broach the subject with the Rhuematologist though. I don't want him to think I'm using him just to get my husband here...even though I kind of am.

Hey doodle I would do what ever it takes

I second that!!!!!

What a great idea for a gift!!!!!

YEAH! I have seen a lot of those 15 year charms & rings. You have never been to a party for a Quinceañera before Doodle? You know that show on MTV called My Super Sweet Sixteen?? In Mexico, the show is called Mi Quince Años (my 15 years). 15 is the milestone teenage year for Latin America and Spanish countries.

Google quinceañera jewelry or gold & you will see lots of cute things for the 15 year old girls.

My favorite rings for the 15 años are the motion rings. They are so cute! (Just wait until my nieces have their quinceaños!~~~~~~ I am already thinking about it.... only 10 more years to go!! )

My sister's husband bought her a motion ring for mother's day that had 3 layers. In the middle was a rose, and some leaves that swung around with diamonds. Very pretty!

Ayesha: I used to enjoy those kind of movies when I was a teenage. Now I can't stand them. In this case, I"d have to give her the money and say here, take a friend!! (darn, no green faced smiley!)

Doodle: Good luck with the letter from your doctor. I hope it helps speed things along.

Sparrow: Bring some Pizza back to MENA!!

Jackie: Good to see you as always.

Allousa: What are you doing to pass the time?

We are going out for dinner at a seafood place that the doc got us a certificate for. I always enjoy seafood by the water, especially when it's free. :P

Time is something I wish I had more of....but at the same time, if it makes time pass faster before Hicham gets home...I'm okay with that.

I hurt my back last week and have been side-lined from the gym since then. I usually go everyday on my lunch, but the chiropractor I go to (who is AWESOME, by the way) said after this week, I can start back up. That's why I've been on VJ so much lately because I'm stuck at my desk! :) But my back is a whole lot better. I had a massage today before my adjustment and I could just fall asle..........................zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz.........zzzzzzzzzzz

zzzzz

<wiping drool off keyboard>

Sorry! I've had alot going on during the weekends taking our little boy places. And just trying to keep the house clean. Let me give a shout out to all the "single moms" out there waiting for our SOs to come home. By the time I fall into bed at night....I'm POOPED!!!!!

She didn't want the "Mis Quince" party, she asked for a camera (which mom got her), and the big surprise is a trip to Disney during summer vacation. wow, i'm broke! Either way (quinceañero or trip) costs money. But she's a good girl and really deserves it...ummmm I mean young lady

I've never heard of a Mis Quince party before! Sounds like fun!

I actually have been waiting to give them a ring but more like a chastity ring. Has anyone heard of those? I guess there's a little thing that you say to them before giving it to them and basically it's about how important abstinence is, etc. The goal is that if they're in a sticky situation they'll hopfeully be reminded of the promise of chastity by looking at the ring and get the heck out of dodge while the gettin' is good!!

Good morning everyone.

Lets see if I can remember this right.

Ayesha- Tell you're daughter Happy Birthday for us.

Doodle- If the Cairo embassy is under staffed tell them they can higher me. j/k but serious.

Jackie- My Mom goes to Curves in Boise and sometimes takes me. I like that it's an all women club.

Jas- I know how hard it is to drag yourself form bed to go work out.

Cheryl- 17 years of tattooing wow!

Ahhh all brain power lost now for the rest of what I was going to say... hmm... ok...

I'm working on creating a new poll for VJ but won't post it until Monday when everyone is back and checked in. I'm really interested in the results of this one cuz it's going to be good.

As for me I see the counselor today after two weeks of waiting. I had a little stomach bug going on. I have to edit my Music Video this weekend and write two 10 page investigative reports for Political Science classes and I've lost all steam for school because of a medium depression.

A new couple moved into my building so that's always intriguing. I have to get a job other than the Video Production Crew on Home Team Football games day because I'm $broke$.

That's about it.

Have a good weekend everyone.

Through all the red sox/congressman stuff I forgot...my 11 yr old is at her first "social" right now! It's from 2:30pm to 5pm. I pick her up at 5 and I'm *dying* to hear how it went, though I'm sure I"ll get one word answers like:

me: what happened?

her: "nothing"

me: did you have fun?

her: sure

me: did you dance?

her: yeah.

:wacko::wacko::wacko:

She looked real cute when she left the house though!
