Well, I checked Canada Post website again and I guess my visas haven't been sent, or as Emancipation said, Canada Post didnt even bother to put the info in their system yet. Either way, I'm going to get my tickets tomorrow. I'm sure that they will be here before I go. Thanks again everyone for your help!

Nothing yet Liz. I'm going to check again later this morning and probably 100 times until I go to bed tonight lol.

Oh, and the prices of the plane tickets already went up another $60 a ticket since 11pm last night, so I really need to get them today.

Have you tried searstravel.ca for prices.?

I've found that site more often than not has the best pricing in airfare hands down.

Thats what I been thinking flames. I have bought so many plane tickets in the past, so I know that the prices will start going up everyday I wait. Right now, 2 one-way tickets from Toronto to Atlanta Georgia is $706. To me, thats too much, but I worry that it'll go up more. I'm going to wait until tomorrow. I'm still tired from yesterday. Hopefully the prices will either go down, or stay where they're at and maybe Canada post will get thier sh!t together and add my pkg on the site lol.

To my understanding it doesn't depend on when Canada Post updates but rather when Montreal mails the visa out - sometimes they do it right away and other times they don't. I honestly wasn't expecting to get mine until yesterday, so getting mine 2 days after my interview was a total and unexpected surprise.

March 6, 2007 - I-129F package sent

March 21, 2007 - I-129F NOA2

October 17, 2007 - K1 interview - approved

October 19, 2007 - K1 arrived in mail

October 21, 2007 - US entry

October 23, 2007 - Wedding day

November 27, 2007 - AOS, EAD, AP package sent

December 7, 2007 - Received all 3 NOA's for AOS, AP & EAD

December 10, 2007 - Received letter for biometrics appointment

January 2, 2008 - I-485 transferred to California

January 3, 2008 - Biometrics

January 16, 2008 - RFE for I-485

January 22, 2008 - RFE for I-485 arrived

January 23, 2008 - AP approved

January 25, 2008 - Case status finally updated: AP approved January 23!

I don't have a credit card, or I would try other sites. I usually go up to the airport and purchase the tickets there. I check Air Canada's site and see what the prices are before I go and get them for the price listed on the site. I used Flight Center once and will never use them again. They are supposed to match the airlines prices, or be cheaper and that wasn't the case when I got them there 1 time. So I just stick with the airport.

You can enter your tracking number and add your email address and they will email you as soon as it has any action. Thats what i did.

I did the same but found I wasn't getting the emails, except the delivery notices!!!

March 6, 2007 - I-129F package sent

Well, I'm not waiting for Canada Post or MTL lol. If I dont get tickets soon, I wont be leaving before Thanksgiving. As it looks now, I wont leave until the 20th and not the 13th like I had planned.

Yeah, Canada Post SUCKS! lol. I wish they'd let us use UPS or something else.

Ok, so I got my plane tickets. It was $750.66 for 2 one-way tickets from Toronto to Atlanta Georgia. The lady stressed at me about purchasing one-way tickets with a child traveling. I told her I was activating a visa. She didn't say nothing more lol. So I'm leaving here on Friday November 16th! Gawd I can't wait lol.

Btw..Still nothing on Canada Post site :(

great news!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied,that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

I hate Canada Post :angry: . I signed up for email notification for my pkg and I got an email this morning saying that there was an attempted delivery yesterday and now my pkg is sitting at the post office for me to pick it up. #######? I was home all day yesterday waiting for my visas to come and no one came to my house. I just got off the phone with them and they confirmed that my pkg is sitting there waiting for pick up. I filed a complaint with them. So, now I have to wait for Shoppers Drug Mart to open up at 9am to make sure that my pkg is even there so I can go get it. All I can say is it better be there or someone is gunna pay for this. Stupid post office.
