We'll be near Darlo then, blah! Anywho, York is awesome, that's where Paul went to school (and less tourists than the summer!). We really like Whitby or Scarborough (sp?) because we like to act like kids and play 2p's and they have the best prizes :)

Say hi to Darlo for me -- my old company's other office was there and I've had more journeys on the 7am GNER from King's Cross than I care to recall... Have a fun time!

Big time Whitby fans here. We fell in love there!

I love York...

We both love the Lakes District and the Peaks District....

We followed Hadrian Wall and The Roman Army museam at Greenhead and we headed east for 6 miles to Housesteads....and Vindolanda was awesome..I mean fantastic. It was a huge excavation site. We really really enjoyed that trip.

Of course we visitied plenty-o-pubs every time I've been.

Do you know what I miss most about living in England? Apart from my family and friends of course! The proximity of Europe. I miss not being able to hop on a plane for an hour or two and be in an entirely different country with different food, language and culture. The USA is great, but every city has the same shops, restaurants, food etc. The countryside might look a little different but basically it is all the same.

I would love to be able to hop over to Paris or Barcelona or Koln or Rome. How about Seville, Madrid, Brussels?
