Barbara Walters is on the View this morning talking about the frustrating US Embassy in Jamaica. She said that she spent over 3 hours on the phone yesterday to try and help a friend of a friend get back into the US with an expired greencard. She talked about all the different options on the IVR and how it never lead to a person. She said she recorded several messages saying this is Barbara Walters of ABC...nothing!

Melodee attempts to avoid his eyes at first, but then she decides that she will let him see all the rage and hate housed in her own. All feelings of repulsion melted away when she saw the raw emotion in his eyes. Ian’s eyes told her that he meant every word, and he would virtually die if she left him right now.*

Ian: Sh**! Man, I’m sorry. I forgot. Hold on a sec okay. Melodee, do you want to go out tonight? Or do you want to have Frowzy drive you home?

Melodee: I don’t want to go out. I can’t go out like this. Do you want me to leave? I don’t mind staying here tonight.

Ian: Alright baby. Yo my man! We are good tonight. But, I will still settle up with you tomorrow for devoting the evening to us. You are cool peeps man. Goodnight.

*Melodee takes the time that Ian is on the phone to turn on her own cell phone. It registers five new voicemail messages, and seven missed calls. She notices that all the missed calls were from Tran. She waivers back on forth on whether she was up to listening to her messages. Ian walks over and grabs her hands before she comes to a final decision.*

Ian: Let’s go for a walk around the property, and talk. Is that okay?

Melodee: I don’t have anything to wear. I don’t feel comfortable wearing the dress again with all these bite marks in clear view.

Ian: Okay. I tell you what. You go and take a leisurely soak in the tub. I’ll be back shortly.

Melodee: Where are you going?

Ian: Don’t worry. I’ll be back soon. I promise.

Melodee: Okay.

*Ian dresses quickly, grabs his wallet and walks out of the room to the hotel’s gift shop. Luckily the shop is still open. He begins looking for items befitting his new queen. There are quite a few cheesy and cheap items housed there. But, he manages to find a terry cloth jogging suit with ‘Jamaica’ on the back of the pants. He also finds a pair of matching flip flops. Ian expertedly guessed Melodee as a size six, and walks to the counter to make his purchase. He asks the clerk if there is anywhere that he can purchase fine jewelry tonight. The clerk tells him that she can help him by opening the adjacent jewelry store. Ian pays for the items, and they walk together to the jewelry store.

Ian stops in front of the diamond pieces when the lights come on. He doesn’t want to overwhelm her with the first gift. Ian selects a pair of canary yellow diamond 18k white gold earring studs to match her new jogging suit. The clerk places them gingerly into an elegant black gift box, and wishes him a good night. Ian is sure that she will forget the unpleasantries, and he walks back to his room with a happy gait.*
