I 864 , Is employer letter required ?

If my income is above the poverty level and i am submitting my tax return, do i still need to submit my latest paystub and a letter from employer ?

Paystubs, and employer letter are optional. Read the directions with I-864 it says "MAY" submit 3 years IRS returns, employer letter, and pay-stubs if you feel they will help.

We used I-864EZ, and attached copies of IRS returns for past 3 years, IRS transcripts, letter from employer, and copies of recent pay-stubs.

YES. VERIFICATION of CURRENT EMPLOYMENT STATUS.

Two choices:

6 months of pay stubs

OR

Copy of filed 1040 form, with copies of W-2's and anything else that goes with your filed tax return.

No, this is not required. Does it help? Sure it does, but it's not required.

As per the USCIS' instructions:

You may include evidence supporting your claim about your expected income for the current year if you believe that submitting this evidence will help you establish ability to maintain sufficient income. You are not required to submit this evidence, however, unless specifically instructed to do so by a Government official. For example, you may include a recent letter from your employer, showing your employer's address and telephone number, and indicating your annual salary. You may also provide pay stub(s) showing your income for the previous six months. If your claimed income includes alimony, child support, dividend or interest income,or income from any other source, you may also include evidence of that income.
