Has anyone ever heard of at the interview that proof of paying child support was needed??

Me and my ex wife had her interview (we were divorcing at the time) the adjudicator asked me am I paying child support for our son........ So it depends on the adjudicator and situation I guess

I pay child support to my ex-husband as stated in divorce decree. If anyone saw it, they never said anything. No one asked.

I would surmise that a copy of your settlement agreement (outlining the amount of support you pay) will be enough evidence for the consulate.

You might want to research your consulate (you do not say which one you are processing through) and see if this matter ever comes up.
