I'm just starting out...was about to send in my I-129F when I was triple checking it and found I'm now confused by this question. Any help is drasticly apreciated!!!

I - 129F question on part A 11. "Have you ever filed for this or any other alien fiancé(e)

or husband/wife before?"

If "Yes," give name of alien, place and date of filing and result.

I files 20 years ago when there was no k1 k3 visas and we had to travel to the forign country to come in leagally...and could never get the "date of filing". is this the same?? or should I read this to say it pertaines to k1 and k3 visas??

Thanks a bunch !!

sorry this doesnt make sense to me - are you a US citizen? did you go to the foriegn country that time to bring a partner over to the states? or are you saying you came over to the states on a visa of some sort? please try to confirm what you are asking? That question is for if you have applied for another partner on either a k1, k3 or any other type of visa to have someone else come into the states. Im sure someone else may be able to confirm this but please try to clarify more. thank you - and please remember when you do send off you petition please fill in your timeline and keep it updated as this is very important for the statistics section of this forum. Thank you

Sorry for the confusion...

I was the USC, she was in the states illeagally, we married, and got her a green card, but had to leave the country together to go to the embasey in her original country to file for permission to enter leagally first.

My question stems from the differences in the process, is the question 11 asking if I filed k1 or k3? or is it asking if I have ever done anything to the simmilar??

Thanks hope this helps :thumbs::thumbs:

It is asking if you have ever filed for K1 or K3 the answer to this is NO. You have not lied when you answer this question, you have simply stated fact. Do not give more than what they have asked for.

I interpret it differently - you did file for a wife/fiance 20 years ago - I would just put down approximate date (if you remember) and that she was approved. Good Luck
