I just learned that my husband posted pictures on Flickr .... of me giving birth!!! He is SOOOO lucky he is in Canada and I am in NH. Grrrr! He swears no one has seen them, but I am skeptical, because the purpose for the Flickr posting was so he could share photos of our family with his family in Canada. I'm sure he linked them to the site.

This thread is useless without pics!! lol I'm sure it was a mistake, maybe his mind was busy thinking about the bachelor party! Time to start planning your revenge!!

Bachelor party? Um Flames, I gave birth 9 1/2 months ago and we've been married for 2 years now. LOL

Yeah it's pretty bad. I've never shown any signs of objecting to constructive criticism. I do everything she tells me to. She complains about every one in the office, even the VP which is her boss. I think she likes it. What she doesn't understand is that it just makes her look worse!

I'm okay really. I think I have accepted the fact that she's not a nice person.

"...My hair's mostly wind,

My eyes filled with grit

My skin's white then brown

My lips chapped and split

I've lain on the prairie and heard grasses sigh

I've stared at the vast open bowl of the sky

I've seen all the castles and faces in clouds

My home is the prairie and for that I am proud…

If You're not from the Prairie, you can't know my soul

You don't know our blizzards; you've not fought our cold

You can't know my mind, nor ever my heart

Unless deep within you there's somehow a part…

A part of these things that I've said that I know,

The wind, sky and earth, the storms and the snow.

Best say that you have - and then we'll be one,

For we will have shared that same blazing sun." - David Bouchard

Wow, so much in this thread!

Em - if you really want a way out of that place, I believe you will find it. The property owner sounds like a dweeb. I would imagine withholding your last months rent with a note that you are intending to move would suffice, along with your list of complaints and a hint that you are thinking of taking him to court.

As for the bachelor party - sounds like the person organizing it is just looking for a good night out at everyone elses expense. The whole stripper club thing is interesting. If my Husband wanted to go to a strip club and get turned on by random naked women - well the thought kind of makes me want to throw up (disclaimer: I am not anti strip club - to each his own).

Amanda! Isn't it interesting how there has to be one in every office, unfortunate that you have to work so closely with this woman.

I've experienced this in previous jobs. It's just part of the office dynamics. I'm going to make a guess here, but I'd hazzard a wager that your boss is single and quite possibly has half a dozen cats or more. You mentioned that she had a negative performance report in July. I imagine she feels threatened by both your age and work ethic. Combine this with an unprofessional malcontent and I can only imagine how uncomfortable things can be.

Emancipation - You mentioned that it is actually written in your lease agreement a clause that you are entitled to peace and quiet. Is it specifically quantified with "Quiet Hours" or anything like that? Would you happen to have a video camera, or a digital camera that can take 10-20 minute video clips? I would take clips of it, burn it on a DVD and submit it with your landlord as an official complaint. I would also log any responses from your landlord. You can by all means take him to small claims court for breach of contract.

That's exactly it, Tmix. Glen doesn't "want" to go to the strip club, per se. I mean he sort of has to since it's a bach party and all, but he's only been to 1 in his life and said it was dirty and gross. If he went every weekend I'd have a problem but one time for a bach party, that's OK by me.

OMG my head is going to explode. I decided to read up on stuff for vehicle importing today as I'm going to need to contact my dealers customer service soon to find out about things like the fact that I am playing a loan to them, seeing if they will continue it once I have moved, seeing if the extended warranty can be transferred to their US division and if not if I can get a pro-rated refund for it ASAP, which will help bring down my payments...and about the paperwork I need to show it is compliant with US regulations. In the process I was looking up California registration and DL stuff...it almost seems like I'm going to be going in circles. I dont know if they accept the Canadian registration and insurance for me to get my DL, and they want a bunch of stuff for registration to the DMV. What a headache to understand. GAH!

I used to not mind it when neighbors would put things in my garbage bins. But then I had a neighbor completely abuse it. The problem was compounded by the fact that the city got new garbage trucks that used this side lift thing that would only use this one kind of garbage bin... that you had to buy from the city for $50 each. To make it worse, you had one bin for garbage, one for recyclables, and one for green items (ie grass clippings etc). After this, I noticed all my bins were full by thursday (our garbage day was tuesday). It got to the point that I would have to take his garbage bags out and put them next to his bins. Then he started to throw them in my recycling bin or the one for green items. I finally had to put a latch and a little lock on our bins. Its quite sad when neighbor squabbles get so childish. But i will admit that I have done it.

I don't mean to make this worse for you, but when looking at emissions standards and requirements for vehicles, make sure that you are looking at Southern California regulations or Northern California. Southern California has much more stringent regulations regarding emissions. If people here move from Northern California to Southern California, they have to have their car get an emissions test when they re-register.

Actually, after I wrote that I was thinking that it sounds like i'm criticizing your Husband - just want to clarify that i'm not - really i'm not, Mike wouldn't go - even for his Brother's bachelor party (he doesn't have a brother btw lol)

BUT - I completely understand getting cornered in to something and feeling like you have to go along with it.

Some women have no problem with their Husband hanging out in strip clubs - whenever - and that's why I put the disclaimer in there - I really meant to each his own - i'm not judging anyone - just saying how I would feel about it.

Only been to 1 strip club??? is that like the drunk driver that tells the cop he only had 1 beer? lol

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

Oh not at all, I know you're not criticizing. I think bachelor/bachelorette parties are really overrated in my opinion, it's just an excuse for a bunch of guys to get drunk and act ridiculous and spend too much money. That we don't really have  I know he could just not go at all, but the flight is booked, too late to turn back now I guess.

LoL, most strip clubs are pretty lame tbh. A lot of guys go in and mistake Strip Club for Brothel.

There is a reason why they have the lights so low in strip clubs........

The only thing that has specific hours are the laundry (which they don't adhere to). Great suggestions re: the photos though. I will include those with the complaint. He needs to see the state of our garbage, the backyard (his own "representative" piled a heap of trash out there and it's still there), the walls that need to be painted etc... great ideas..

Thanks guys.. i appreciate the suggestions.. we'll try to get this together in the next week.. I doubt very highly that he'll let us out of our lease, but we can try and in it hopefully find some level of frustration released due to having done something!
