Grrrr! The main water line to our office needs to be repaired. So they cut the water off LAST WEDNESDAY (while I was in Washington State) and it is going to be off until they get around to sending out some people to jackhammer through our floors to fix it. This means we have to use the restroom in the office next door. Lovely and all, but there are two problems: (1) it is COLD out, so I have to put on a freaking coat just to go to the loo now, and (2) the people in that office all seem to hide, silently, in their own individual offices in the back. They have a receptionist desk at the front, but no one sits there, and when we walk in and say "Hello? Is anyone here?" no one answers or comes out of hiding the whole time we are in there. This makes me feel a bit like I am sneaking in and tresspassing just to use the toilet. It's really a bit creepy.

And there are still all the leaves in my yard and the endless waiting for my fiance's visa....

But the good news is we have booked a place for our wedding and they are willing to be flexible if we need to push the date back!

Quit your whining!! j/k Cold??? Using a coat??? Dang girl, this is NOT cold! I haven't used a coat here this fall! You're too funny...

I wouldn't bother calling out hello either. Just go potty and let the people continue to hide!

And forget the damn leaves. Rake them up in the spring!

Vent for the day. So here I am, pretty and fabulous as always; living in a multicultural city, yada yada yada. Last night, I take the bus from campus to go home and chillax. Seattle buses have bilingual signs that contain the "good behavior rules" for using transit. Goodie , Len thinks, being as is that the Latin American population is high (fabulous me included). So there I was standing, hanging tight because the driver was the reincarnation of Senna da Silva (I apologize if I misspelled) and I re-read the sign.... some chopf#ck had written down underneath the Spanish sign...

DO NOT SNEAKO INTOO AMERICA

I kid you not people, the idiot couldn't even spell either 'sneak' or 'into'. Man I was pissssed off . 'Funny enough', he posted his idiocy right underneath the "do not harass the driver or other passengers"... but I guess the meaning of harass was beneath his grade 3 spelling ability.

To be honest, I very rarely concern myself with the opinions of those who are intellectually less fortunate than myself. It's hard to be angry when you're laughing.

That is true friend. Just yesterday I asked a mod to delete a flaming post where I lost my cool and actually called "someone" on their mysoginy. Lowering my levels of discussion is just a no-no.

damn that wasn't good spanish!!! lol My in laws WHOLE family speaks Spanish except for me!! They all worked down there one time or another. Wife was actually born in Chile. This yr for Xmas they bought me Rosetta Stone Spanish tutorial on CD.

This past semester at the hospital (I'm a RN student) I was working with this great Technician, she was awesome, but it seemed every time i went to assist her, she required help wiping someones butt. The next week I was prepared!! Got my wife to teach me some Spanish. My opening line to her went along the lines " Hello, how are you, I'm ready to wipe some a$$ today" She thought it was pretty funny!! Were hoping to move to South America for a few yrs when i finish school.
