Holy ####!!!!!

I dragged Bee with me to the pharmacy today because it was my first time filling a prescription out and I wanted backup ;)

So, for a bottle of sleep medication and one month of birth control... came to a hundred and sixty dollars. I just about had a heart attack at the counter.

Man, I will never, ever, ever get used to this health care stuff. *cries*

Run faster than Bee, get real tired and go to sleep. :innocent: Problem solved. How much is heart medication BTW?

Seriously, go to the Mega-Lo Mart, they usually have a healthy discount on the most common medications.

exactly, one can goto target and probably walmart and Kmart and see their "cheap" drug list online!! I know target has their $4 prescription list online!! So print it off, see your dr, and see if he can find a suitable drug from that list!!

My clinical time right now is in a small clinic for people that have no insurance, thus many are very poor (and probably illegals, but I personally dont care, everyone deserves good medical help!!!!!) So us student Rn's see the patients, do the assessments and the Nurse practitioner sees them and if required prescribes meds!! She always tries to prescribe drugs on Targets $4 list, but thats not always possible. Best of luckl

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

WALMART $4 drugs http://www.walmart.com/catalog/catalog.gsp...mPageCatId=5431

TARGET: http://sites.target.com/site/en/health/pag...Id=PRD03-004319

KMART: http://www.kmart.com/shc/s/dap_10151_10104...0+Day?adCell=A3

And if the dr can't find a suitable drug from them, one can probably still get the drug cheaper at target/walmart than from a small chain drug store!!!

My new hire that was supposed to start tomorrow is already irritated. Making me rethink my job offer to her. The HR dept was unable to complete her background investigation last week so she can't start work until it is. She called my boss and was pissed about it. I know the offer letter reads that the job is contingent upon completion of background check and drug test. Hmmmm.

Day 153 grrrrrrrrrrr :ranting:

Why why why

why do I turn on the huge-assss TV and set it to CNN?

A morbid curiosity?

Hmmmm...

The powers that be - aka the "news" people - get to decide what they will stick into people's consciousness and I unfortunately am graced with foreclosures.

Sheriffs showing up to homes and emptying them.

Sigh.

I feel queazy.

Oh, that and how the Fed will be getting more power to oversee banks??

Did I understand that right?

I want to hide out from the world.

OMG: Aloha Airlines just folded!

I am concerned with this game of economics.

sigh

I must turn off the TV..the "news" anyways.

:star:

SpiritAlight edits due to extreme lack of typing abilities. :)

You will do foolish things.

Do them with enthusiasm!!

Don't just do something. Sit there.

K1: Flew to the U.S. of A. – January 9th, 2008 (HELLO CHI-TOWN!!! I'm here.)

AOS: Mailed V-Day; received February 15th, 2007 – phew!

I-485 application transferred to CSC – March 12th, 2008

Travel/Work approval notices via email – April 23rd, 2008
