It would only be a red flag if he was guilty of anything. Both the Moroccan government and ours have done their investigations and found nothing.

well...I am not real judgemental. Shes only been dead a year. I strongly suggest you use an immigration attorney. You are going to have one hell of a time in USCIS and the consulate is another story. You need a real good explanation letter and the help of an attorney for this petition to ever see the light of day.

And yes the reason the whole situation is macabre is quite frankly your non chalant attittude. If I were you and were confronted with that fact I would have answered it alot differently than you did. You show absolutely no empathy for this dead girl whatsover in your tone and the fact that you have his picture blasted all over the forums and you have not even filed and you are up here posting is worse. You really need to talk to an immigration attorney about your chances of even gettting him here. I find it very strange that they denied him and then he has american number 2. I guess death stops a petition. The whole thing walks into such a department of creepy that even I , with a million things to say, cannot find the words to say. I feel so sorry for this girl that died. I feel sorry she risked everything to help a man come here and then lost her life..Young young women do not die real easily. It must have been a horrible death for her... and so scared and so far from home....and if it was illness and she was inadequately cared for,,,, that is even worse

I thought your response would be more filled of his love for her... how much he suffered and how you met 6 months later and how he told you all his pain. It sounds like he was right back online chatting away or maybe you are someone he knew before. No one goes to Morocco and gets engaged that fast unless they were on the backburner....Maybe there is a very good explanation. I sure woudnt leave it on the boards if there were... It s just a very tragic and sad situation. I am sad for you and sad for this girl. The guy may be nice enough but he sounds like the US is a goal

I even have her autopsy and her official death certificate, stamped and all.

Instead of high jacking the other post, I'm creating a new one.

It's amazing how you all seem to think you know Heather's story and you are not even close.

My non-chalant attitude comes from about a year of joining different groups and having someone there seem to think they know Heather and Badr's story. Well none of you know anything close to what really happened. You say that I don't show empathy, well how about every time people find out that I'm linked to Badr, they automatically assume that he's gonna kill me, or that I'm gonna go to Morocco and never come back. I have empathy for Heather. I visited her grave while I was in Morocco. I helped clean her grave and give her fresh flowers. I've researched into adopting her daughter because Heather's dying wish was to have Badr raise her and no one in her own family granted her wish. Heather will forever be a part of Badr and my life because a part of him will always love her. When I arrived in Morocco, Heather's pictures were still all over the house. The whole house still grieves for her loss. Her daughter’s favorite toy was still sitting on top of Badr's dresser. So before anyone can say I have no empathy for Heather, spend a year in my shoes.

Let me start with Heather's life. She grew up in a rough house. Constantly getting beat by her parents. Her mother then died and her father was incarcerated for other crimes. She had NO family support. She became friends with Badr's aunt. At the time, Badr was planning on moving to Spain to live with his Uncle until his Aunt introduced him to Heather. They started a long distance relationship. Prior to getting introduced, Heather got pregnant by a man that wanted nothing to do with her. So Badr supported Heather through her whole pregnancy including naming the little girl. Heather and her 4 month old daughter went to Morocco and they got married. She then returned home to start the visa process. Heather's brother also married Badr's sister. She filed for the K3, Badr had his interview and it got denied because they wanted more proof that the marriage was real. So Heather fought with USCIS to see what needed to be done to get Badr to the US. This whole time her family was not supportive. They thought she was crazy for doing this. So she decided to pack up her and her daughter and move to Morocco for 6 months. After 4 months and her health getting worse, Heather passed away. It wasn't that she didn't get any help from Badr. Badr took her to the best clinics in Rabat. She went to countless different doctors. She was given the appropriate medication but her condition was so far along, that none of it helped. The autopsy pretty much stated that Heather aspirated in her sleep and didn't wake up. Here are so many other things:

1. Heather was a plus size woman, it is a common effect of obesity to sleep deeply and loose control of breathing or stop breathing all together.

2. In the autopsy, she had severe dental decay, which is a sign of either A. anorexia, or a gastric condition of constant regurgitation. and A can be ruled out.

3. She had been hospitalized for this in Rabat and was sent home with medication.

4. Of the medications listed, 2 can cause nausea and gastric disturbances.

5. According to the Autopsy she also had 2 congenital defects, one in her brain and one dealing with the bones in her ribcage preventing her to breathe properly.

6. Mendelssohn's disease: has 2 causes, 1 complication with anesthesia in a prior surgery and/or complication during a pregnancy with anesthesia administered... although i don't know if there were complication I do know that she does have a daughter.

7.There was no signs of trauma or self defensive wounds.

8. This disease can have a rapid progression and if the doctors are not familiar with it can lead to death.

9. There is no doubt in mine or my mothers mind based on this evidence that Badr is in no way responsible or could of assisted in the progression of this disease. This is normal progress of disease and there is nothing that anyone could do to make it worse or better, she was on the correct medication for this problem at the time.

Badr did love Heather with all his heart. He was the one that would carry her to the bathroom to wash. He was the one that took her to all of the doctors and specialist. He was the one that cared for and raised Heather's daughter. Heather got anything and everything she requested. Badr took care of his wife to the point of affecting his own health.

I will post my fiance's picture anywhere I please. He wants to move on with his life. He has experienced a tragedy and doesn't feel that it should dictate his entire life. For months after Heather's death he would not eat or sleep. He was devastated. Badr and I met online 7 months after Heather passed. When I went to Morocco to visit him, 16 months after Heathers death, all of his family came to me and thanked me for giving Badr his life back. They thanked me for helping him love again. After he lost Heather, he didn't think he would live or love again. There are still nights that he cries about losing both Heather and her daughter. It is so hard not to be able to do anything. He literally makes himself sick from thinking about his past.

It amazes me how people could put a label on how long people should grieve a loss of a spouse or loved one. I was in no way on the backburner. I received my first IM from Badr on 11/03/06. I wasn't looking for a man, but I have fallen in love with an amazing one.

Fire away, suspend me for speaking the truth, do what you want. Everyone already thinks they know the truth anyways.

I hardly ever post on this site, however I do read now and then. Just so happens I knew Heather personally, God rest her soul.

I realize this is a public forum and people post what they wish. However, I do not appreciate you posting anything about her, on any public forum as I am sure her family would not either, you should be ashamed of yourself for that, period.

I certainly have no comments about the obvious need for him to be in the US other than you're going to have even larger problems than you think trying to get him here. I don't think an attorney will even be able to help you, this consulate is FULL AWARE of the entire ordeal. This is way beyond "red flag" status. God help you see the light.

Second, she was NOT SICK BEFORE GOING TO MOROCCO, many of us were in groups with her for a long time and know the story. Badr didn't support Heather financially when she was pregnant, there is no possible way for him to do this. Her friends were furious because he only took Heather to the "good hospital" once. Furthermore when Heather died, many of us asked a friend of hers if we could set up a trust fund for the baby, and we decided against it because the answer from Badr was "just send me the money directly." Add to this that Badr & Heather didn't understand each other very well so all they did online was sing to each other, and now you have freak of all freak stories, the saddest of which a woman is mysteriously dead for NO REASON, and her husband already has another fiance this short time later and you, the fiance, have talked yourself into believing this is totally normal.

Now, you can complain all you want that people don't know the whole story, but there are MANY of us who have followed this story for a long time, way back when Heather first met Badr, so get over yourself.

ETA: we also offered to fly Heather's body home but at that time, Badr decided to disappear and no one knew how to get in touch with him.
