getting married on halloween

We went to apply for our marriage licence yesterday and couldn't finish all the paperwork until I had a date set and someone to perform it. So I called the court house and the lady said in the most enthusiastic manner:

"Ooo I don't know if you care about anniversary dates but how about halloween? Its so FUN! We just had a couple drop out so I can fit you in at 2:30!"

At this point I didn't care, I've been here for over a month and Mike and I have been doing a million things besides getting married, so I took what I could get. Besides we're not really considering this to be our wedding. Nor will we use October 31st as an anniversary date.

Our wedding, the one that is being planned, will be in May at a vineyard.

Then we decided it would be kind of funny to at least buy two clown noses and wear them, since the lady at the court house said we could dress up. I hope I can find the ones that honk.

OMG...that would be fantastic having a wedding on Halloween. Carry a bouquet of lollipops!! Dress up and have some fun!!!

Oct 1/09 - I-751 package sent

Oct 3 - package delivered

Oct 5 - NOA mailed

Oct 13 - 1st NOA received and additional letters for my daughters I filed with. NOAs stated Resident Status

has been extended for 1 year and that we will be receiving a letter for an ASC appointment for

fingerprints, photo, and signature.

Dec 2009 - Received 10 year permanent resident card.

Feb 2010 - My children received their 10 year permanent resident cards.

Oct 2010 - My children were legally adopted by my USA Citizen husband.

Here's my K-1 Timeline:

October 2006 - I-129F sent

10/24/2007 - INTERVIEW DATE!!!!!....APPROVED!!

10/30/2007 - Visa in hand!

AOS Timeline:

1/30/08 - Sent AOS pkg Priority Mail with USPS

3/12/08 - Biometrics taken

3/29/08 - EAD and AP in hand for me and my son

5/21/08 - Email-GC on its way!...RFE for my son's application

5/27/08 - GC arrives!!!

7/02/08 - Sons GC arrives!!!

ROC TIMELINE

3/23/10 - ROC sent!

3/29/10 - NOA1

4/22/10 - Biometrics Appt for me and my son

6/30/10 - Email saying card production ordered for me and my son

7/6/10 - Letter in the mail saying cards will arrive within 60 days

7/10/10 - Both cards received!

I laughed so hard at the thought of a bride and groom in wedding finery, with two clown noses. :D

I wanted to go as Dorothy, because I am a MASSIVE Wizard of Oz fan and I was planning on dressing up for her on Halloween while taking my son out anyways. But Mike said it was a bit too much.

Oh well clown noses are quite funny too.

April 16, 2009 - 2 yr GC rec'd in mail.

March 2, 2011 - Mailed in I-751 to CSC

March 4, 2011 - I-751 delivered to CSC

March 4, 2011 - NOA issued

March 12, 2011 - NOA received

April 14, 2011 - BIO Appt 5/6/11

May 6, 2011 - BIO done in 10 minutes...no re-takes this time :)

June 27, 2011 - Email rec'd "Status - Approved"

July 1, 2011 - 10 yr GC arrived
