I got the same reply from the congressman as last time. Only this time she told me if I hadn't heard anything in 90 days to contact her again.

Can you say "brush off"?

That was the latest.

I also received a terror update in my mailbox. It was the Warden's Safety Message. It was basically the same security warning that is posted on the DOS website, but it was updated this month to say that there are still safety concerns for Americans in Egypt. Why did they have to go and do that?? Now my husband feels justified in all of his over-the-top conspiracy theories~~~~~~~~

I registered my overseas stay with the embassy, and all I got was this lousy e-mail!

Today is a good day and I am in Central Cali and it is slightly overcast but around 68 so I am feeling good. I love being able to be online and on VJ at work. My boss is never in the office until late afternoon and since we are a new office no one really calls or comes by.

Had a great weekend celebrating with my husband. He said it was great cos I know he was really missing his family and friends and the festivities in Jordan. His phone was ringing constantly from his family and friends calling from Jordan. I was happy that we went to Dinner Friday night and Saturday night we went to the Inidan Casino and had dinner and played for awhile with my fillin dad (he took over being my dad 7 years ago when my dad passed away). It was awesome that Hasan was able to tell him about Islam and he was so proud to help someone that he cares about learn more about Islam and what is important to him. Yesterday he went to the Mosque and they had a big lunch for them and he was so very happy. I made a great BBQ to end the celebration and he was so very greatful for all I tried to do to make him enjoy this time.

i had heard about it some time ago, and then when I started reading the Left Behind Series, there is mention of it several times. I asked Omar about it but he doesn't seem to understand what I am talking about in English. Any hints in arabic or further info on it? I understand it to be one of the most sacred places for Muslims, located where a Jewish Temple once stood.

The sequence monster hit me this morning. I came to work with grand plans...rearrange my desk, organize my piles, and start working on them in an orderly fashion. Got my desk reorganized...check...then started on my accounting project and the receptionist kept bringing things in and putting them ON the desk instead of IN the in box. : Now I have to sort the new stuff out of my way to I have space t work again. OH well almost quittin time anyways.

Tell him its the Masjid Qubbat As-Sakhrah or the place there the Prophet ascended into heaven from for one night. He will know that story- when the Prophet visited Heaven.

Al Masjid al Aqsa - the Furthest Mosque..... al Haram al Sharif - the Noble Sanctuary.

what is the significance of the red and white checkered cloth that the men wear on their heads? When I was in the airport in Cairo there were a ton of people going to Saudi and all the men wore these. (I don't know what they're called).
