They can do security checks even with the CR1. My husband had his CR1 interview in June and he was given 221g for administrative processing. It's my understanding that they are doing his AOS at this time since it's CR1. My husband has a very common first name which is Mohammed so I'm sure that's one of the reasons it's taking so long. He was told by the consulate that all we are waiting for is the call from Washington. Hopefully you won't have to wait in AP like we are. Good luck!

I agree but the consulare officer didn't tell me that was anything needs to be done to compete and issue my visa other than the co-sponsor's documents.and I sent an email to the consulate and they said that they will contact me as soon as the documents that i need to submit ( I-864 for co-sponsor,tax return and W-2 ) are reviewed and I don't think they need to send them back to the USA for that.

I'm just curious why you keep arguing with teh opinions being given. If yu already know the answer then why ask in the first place. You submitted the documents today. No one called you. Now you wait like the rest of us.

ETA. I hope you do get the call soon.

I just can't stand ppl that give opinions about something they don't know or not sure how it works so when I get an opinion that don't make since I think I have the right to argu and discuss.and by the way you don't have to reply.
