If you take photocopies of any originals you take to the interview, they will return the originals to you and keep the copies, after they have seen the originals.

Mar. 22/11.... N-400 sent to AZ

June 27/11..... Interview - PASSED!!!

Manila kept our pics.

Saw them all at the AOS K3 on IO desk. He kept them also.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

As far as I know, in Brazil they are.

I made a giant scrapbook that my husband and I showed (and explained to) the CO behind the glass - so there is no way he could have had them.

If you think the CO may keep them, don't do what I did....

11/2004 - Met in Brazil

09/2006 - Apply for K1

03/2007 - K1 approved

04/2007 - Apply for AOS & EAD

07/2007 - EAD approved

01/2008 - Conditional Residency approved

11/2009 - Apply to remove conditions

02/2010 - Permanent Residency approved

11/2010 - Apply for Citizenship

03/2011 - Citizenship approved

07/2011 - Moved back to Brazil

When one submits evidence of the relationship at the interview, are the pictures returned ?

In the Philippines, they did return all the pictures I brought with me during the interview. The set of photos that they kept is the one I submitted along in our I-129F original packet since it's considered as originally submitted evidence. It is advisable to have copies of everything in case they'll keep yours... :thumbs:

05/10/2011 - Case Status Notification - Interview scheduled

05/14/2011 - Interview Appointment Letter in the mail

06/21/2011 - Interview Appointment Date

06/29/2011 - Case Status Notification - Placed in the oath scheduling que

08/16/2011 - Case Status Notification - Oath ceremony scheduled

09/15/2011 - Oath Taking - good riddance!

09/23/2011 - Applied for Passport

10/08/2011 - Passport in the mail

10/17/2011 - Certificate of Naturalization in the mail -- OFFICIALLY DONE!

Nope, at least ours weren't.

They may or may not keep your pictures. Since one cannot reliably predict the outcome, I suggest you have a few example pictures you don't mind them keeping. Reprints or color copies work nicely for such a purpose.

Facts are cheap...knowing how to use them is precious...
