Just wondering if anyone else experienced a longer time between receiving a notice of approval on an I-129F from USCIS and NVC receiving the info from USCIS. I received USCIS approval on Sept 4, and an e-mail from them on Sept 5. I just called NVC yesterday (Oct 10) since I had heard nothing from them. The operator informed me that NVC just received the USCIS approval notice on Oct 9. When I asked her if it's still about a 2-4 week process from NVC receiving the USCIS approval to the NVC sending the application to the embassy, she replied with a reluctant "Typically." Do you think the influx of applications prior to July 31st has anything to do with the delay?

Great, just when we thought things were going to really get going after the NOA2. I guess we will plan on a January 08' interview date. We got our NOA2 on Sept. 24th

Sorry,

I am just thinking that the NVC will get our application at the end of October, then it will be there for about 3 weeks and get down to the Lima Ebassy and then about 45 days from that puts us after the Christmas and New Years Holiday into next year.

Good news. I just received the letter from NVC (dated Oct 12) that our package will be sent this week. So even though our NOA2 was approved Sept 4 but didn't reach NVC until Oct 9th...NVC has moved quickly.

I would not be discouraged. I filed April 24, 2007; received may 22, I-130; Approved 10/03...I-129f sent around June 5, also approved Oct 3...both were touched 10-4,5,6,7,8,&9..today I called the NVC and gave them only my social security number and they said they had received my 129-f on 10-15 approved it and sent it today 10/17 to Caracas...2 days at the NVC..as for the I-130 they didn't have a record of it.

I think its getting better, at least I hope so. Good luck

Congrats Visao!

I will cross my fingers for us too then now.

It has been so challenging lately to feel good about this.

We got approved on September 13th and no word from NVC, and USCIS changes its story each time we call (3X).

We got the approval last Oct 12 and 3 days ago my fiancee called NVC to check if they receive it but the guy told him that it's not yet with them. Just today, my fiancee called again and the lady told him that they haven't got it yet and try calling back at the end of Nov and further stated that sometimes it would take 90 days!!!! :crying:
