After K-1 is she required to stay in US for certain period of time?

My question is after we have approval for K-1 and my fiancee comes over here, is there a minimum amount of time she must spend in US after our marriage in order to be able to go the next step (AOS I believe?). I plan to get travel authorization for her and we plan to spend some time in her country, both for a wedding for her family there and because I like her country very much...we may end up if possible staying there 6 months or more out of each year if we are allowed by UCIS. Would doing so while out of K-1 status but not yet at AOS status jeopardize her AOS later on?

After her arrival in the U.S., it is best that you guys get married in the U.S. and apply for AOS. You will need advance parole in order for her to leave the country. You can use this website as reference on how to apply for both AOS and advanced parole.

If she leaves the US without advance parole or a greencard, then she will not be able to re-enter the US.

Best of luck!

Once she has advanced parole, travel is no problem but I would avoid travel of more than a week or so until after your biometrics appointment following AOS filing. Then you need somebody picking up your mail and notifying you of anything from USCIS until the green card is in hand. Do not change addresses during AOS. If needed, simply use an "in care of" address, like that of a close family member.

Google, "maintaining permanent residency status" for issues related to duration of trips abroad.
