Ron and Sharon I just want to wish you both the best of luck.

My thoughts and prayers will be with you both.

Big hugs

V

VNOE, thanks, it helps to know that others are looking out for us and adding us to their prayers as we also do for many others. We haven't reaced the point of being self absorbed and I doubt we ever will because it is others like you that are getting us through our mess.

Just saw your update and praying all goes well for you now. Good luck.

Mary

Thank you Mary, there is always room for another prayer and it is very welcome. So far since we haven't heard anything we can assume that everything is going well and we will keep that thought in mind as it is a good one. I hope everything is going well for you and Mian.

Lynette, you can thank Sharon for the way I am today she has been a big influance in my life since we met. I'm not so sure I can agree with your lovely evaluation of me but I do know that Sharon agrees whole heartedly with you because I read to her what is written about us and she can't beleive that others see in my writing what she herself sees in me. It is nice to be thought of as a good guy.

Aww, that is one of the sweetest things I've ever heard!

Best of luck to you and Sharon. As far as I can tell, you really are a good guy. You've always been supportive and kind to people on here.

Thank you SonoranSongbird, you must be a Bird of Paradise, your Aww said it all to me, thank you very much. I just try and do what is best and beleive me I don't always succeed, I have had my bad days here, but I am glad that they are out numbered by the good.

I am hoping that my action will cause a change that will make it necessary for a second CO to confirm the first's belief as that is not the present case and nor was it in our case.

all the information presented should have been taken into consideration regardless of what the CO thought.

What I do not like is as per my thinking the CO's written comment in my file was taken for gold when in fact it was lead and that a new analysis of the matter y another CO would have proven that. The CO's written assumption influenced/tainted the decision making process and brought on the I-601 which in again my opinion would not have come into consideration because of the time gone by.

You are so right about this. What is the point of presenting evidence at all if the above is the case? You do your due dilligence and jump through all the hoops and provide all of the documentation you have worked hard at getting and THEN someone behind a bullet proof pane decides it isn't true or misinterprests the information?

Absolutely in cases such as this a second or third CO's opinion should be sought. Anyway, I admire you taking this on and attempting to make a difference.

Even though what I am doing is for Sharon and I it is also done in the hope that it will be beneficial to others in the long run if changes are implimented to cure the short comings present in the system. It would be better if more than one CO made a decission regarding a couple or family's future having our future being in only one person's hands just isn't right when it comes to not getting the visa. We will wait and see what happens, we could be pleasantly surprised.

Just wanted to throw my best wishes out of there. It's been a long and arduous process for you both, and you guys only deserve good things after all that you've done for all of us here. :)

PS. I like filet mignon ;)

Nini and Bee, you are both invited to share in our lunch in Washington also. Thank you also for the wishes they lighten our load, the journey was good until Montreal our time in the process went very well and with no REFs and even though the year dragged on as we lived day by day at the end we found that is really passed very quickly. This is the make or break time of the whole process, it is hard on Sharon right now and so little I can do to make things easier for her and calm her doubts. We will survive this and be together just not knowing when is terrible.

I just read this as I don't look at VJ everyday, but all I can say is I wish you the best of luck. I hope they will get everything sorted out.

What happened to you is totally unfair. They ask for truth and you gave it to them, they ask for waivers and you did, and honestly all these things are behind you, and it should have matter. Over 15-20 years ago, and I think it doesnt even make sense that they treat you that way.

What's the point to be honest if it doesn't change anything in the end? I really think they have been completely unfair to you.

I hope they will open their eyes in Washington.

I'm also hoping that they see a judgement based on a wrong first impression and correct it. I also hope that they put in place a system where if someone makes such a call in the future there is a backup system for verifying that the call is accurate before acting on it. With the way things are done today and were in the past I am sure that many others were put in a position of total disbelief at what they heard and had to go through. They the DHS/USCIS people have to realise that they too are human and fallible and in need of a system that protects them and us from human errors. What was done to us was fair but done the wrong way and for the wrong reason, which is why I wrote to the Director so someone higher up will see what is going on not only with me but with others also and fix it.

I sincerely hope that everything goes well for you and Sharon. I couldnt imagine the frustration and let down the process has been for you both. Im not sure if it will help, but I can remember when I would have tough times in my life, my grandmother use to always tell me.... "there has to be rain to find the beautiful rainbow which will lead you to your pot of gold". Hopefully one day soon, you and sharon will find your "pot of gold".

Things are going as well as possible, presently sitting back waiting on Washington to see what they have to say before going back to plan B, which we don’t want to do, this is plan C that we are working on and hoping for good results. The interview was just a short time ago and so many things have happened in our lives since then that, neither one of us has really had time to take a breath or to worry much about what happened yesterday. Your grandmother was right, and we will find ours or make our own. Montreal rained on our parade so now we are not following their rule and rain hopefully will be falling on Montreal if we can get what we ask which is an interview by a competent Washington based DHS/USCIS staff member who will access our Montreal file as there lies the truth (Debbie’s) which we are contesting, which I believe has tainted the process.

How the heckers did I miss this post???????????????

You are doing the right thing. The thing that someone has to do my friend, and this renews our respect and admiration for you. You guys are amazing people, and if you ever need affidavits to that effect, you can RFE Len and Bren  to attest to the fact that you are living right. We love you both very much and are waiting to hear more!

My dear when we are too busy things go by without our noticing them.

I don’t know for sure that I am doing the right thing; I just know that this undertaking feels right and hopefully it is right and because of it changes will be done that will benefit others that follow us. I am hoping that pointing out a flaw will bring a remedy. Every time I read you are doing the right thing from you or anyone else, I hear a crowd saying you’re crazy, you should just roll over and give them what they want and in a year or two it will be all over, well if I rolled over it would be left to someone else and if everyone rolls over everything will remain the same and someone else will get a bum deal as we did. Thank you for the respect and admiration Lenina, but both are earned and I have yet to do that, it is still too early in the game to see if anything will come of it. As for the RFE I don’t think I will place anyone here in such a position as to sign their name to anything going to the DHS/USCIS office because very few here have actually finished the process and are out of repercussions’ way, Thank you and Bren for the offer it is a show of support and much appreciated.

For the PM thing I’m not sure why that would have happened, I may have changed it when playing with the timeline up date and other thing.
